It was a melancholy day. Even that was a under statement. I couldn't believe my luck, it was too good to be true. But either way I decided to check on Digi. Everyone else stood silent for Digi out of respect, she had left the room almost ten minutes ago but that scene felt as if it had lasted for hours. I felt so bad and guilty, once again I knew this was a bad idea, I should stop now and I don't have to worry about my friends... but if I tell them I know where I will go.

It's too late to go back.

I knocked gently on Digi's door. Nothing. I called her name "Digi... are you okay?"... still nothing. I shrugged at Crypto who was standing near me. She hadn't quite realised the severity of the following situation but yet even she stayed silent in respect. It was clear Digi was a well liked person. Crypto gently walked away towards Storage and I continued to stand outside Digi's dorm.

I decided I had to move on, I will come back later to check on her but for now she might want some alone time. As I walked away the door opened.

"Come in." Digi said with tears drenching her face. I did as she said and sat down in their room.

The room was split into two colours, green and blue. Digi's side was covered in Tweek posters and some of her own personal paraphernalia such as her hair brush and make-up kit. Septic's side of the room had mainly blue themes but I could tell he didn't get much say in the room design as he had Craig posters. It was a nice room it just had a pitiable feel to it. I sat in silence as my eyes continued to wander around the room while Digi lay on her bed looking through the skylight.

"Do you believe in soulmates?" Digi enquired.

"Yes... do you?" I returned.

"I think I just killed mine," she said before beginning to cry again.

Remorse. That was the only way to describe how I was feeling. Remorseful. How I would long to apologise to all those who I had hurt... it was only this one I would see. Digi eventually stopped crying again before once again speaking.

"I don't even know who to go to, who to trust, who to like and who to love."

"I get that," I replied sounding as sympathetic as possible.

"You don't though. Just before we entered this ship me and Septic... we had a deep talk" She paused and I could see the sadness form in her head, she then began to paint a vivid memory as if she had time travelled to not long ago.

"Digi, in case for whatever reason we don't make it... I want to ask you something." Septic said.

"Go ahead, you can ask me anything." Digi replied.

"Will you marry me?"

My eyes widened. I soon realised how much this boy meant to Digi and how I had torn their worlds in half and ruined their live forever. I wanted to apologise so badly but I couldn't.

"And that was that... thanks for listening, you can leave now." Digi said looking slightly better.

I got up and left after waving goodbye. The adrenaline of the situation quickly wore off and before I knew it I was back to the same old drab life. The rest of the day would slowly go by but I couldn't help but notice I was yet to see Bubbles or Woofdoodle all day. I decided to end that thought there and just move on. The ship felt so quiet and empty.

I stood in Navigation and just look out into the stars that we were zooming through. The stars always fascinated me, this was my dream come true, I had finally made it. But I had hurt so many people. Seeing Digi break today was the final straw. I was done being a murderer. It was time to move on. Just at that moment I feel a ghastly presence.

"Muffin... what kind of thoughts are they?" Taylor's ghost puzzled, "Remember 1 million on the line!"

"It's not worth it."

"What, what do you mean?"

"Taylor, if you had just seen what I say you wouldn't want to do this too. Digi and Septic where going to get married, they were going to start a life and I ruined it. It was all me."

"Was it though?"

"What?"

"I mean, you killed Crypt... not Septic nor Digi. It was Digi jumping to a conclusion and over thinking that got Septic killed. Therefore you did nothing wrong!"

"And? Imagine how many I have hurt, how about their families?"

"As far as their families know, they will be in space, living their dream life when in reality they already lived their lives. Muffin you are so close to finishing this mission, you just need three more. Simple." Taylor concluded.

"Easier said than done." I scoffed.

"Okay how about this, go and confess to Digi, go and apologise to Digi, tell her everything you have done and how this is all your fault and see how this one ends." Taylor said before he disappeared as if no one had ever been here.

I thought about his words carefully before deciding fuck it. I'm going to confess to Digi and if it fails at least she can join her partner.

I walked along the hall way back to her dorm where I knocked on the door again... no reply again. I waited for a few minutes before knocking harder and calling her name "Digi?"

Still nothing. I decided to just open the door and walk in.

A poor innocent girl was left hanging from the ceiling. Her limbs heavy and her eyes closed. Her lips laid open and a rope was tied around her pure neck. I stood in shock before grabbing the corpses' hand.

"I'm sorry Digi." I kissed her hand before slowly exiting the room and closing the door behind me.
