Ambrosia cheiranthifolia, otherwise known as the South Texas Ambrosia is an endangered plant due to habitat destruction. This plant is non-woody (no wood) connected by underground root stems. This plant is related to in a botanical sense. I couldn't really find a direct use for it, but I'm guessing it's used for botany.

Small/medium straight leaves with flares on each side. Kind of like a fern without wavy bits!
