"EREN!! EREN!! JEAGER!!" the teacher yelled. I lifted my head quickly and stared. "Y-yes?" He looked furious. "Eren! Can you stop sleeping in my class?!" he said as he hit my head with a booklet he was holding. "Oh, I am sorry sir... its just that your class is plain boring!" I said with a smirk on my face. I soon regretted my decision.
-Five Minutes Later-
"Mr. Jeager. How many times have you been to my office the past two weeks?" said the principal with a worried and kind of fed up face. "I don't know, maybe 7 times?" I said while twirling around on the desk chair. "Eren, you do understand this is your last year of highschool. Why are you making it so hard on yourself? You know that I've been letting you go these couple of times because I want you to graduate and if you get another suspension you won't be able to. You know that right?." He said as he slowly got up of his chair.
"I know... I just don't like it here... I just want to get out of this school.. I am just tired.." I sighed as I layed back on the chair. "I just reaaaallly want to get out there! I feel like I need some hands on experience on adult stuff. I don't know, I feel like I am not ready for the future." I said while staring out the window.
"Well, I am glad you feel that way. You know, I've been talking with the teachers and we decided that we should send you to take some classes at college. Like, you'd still be able to come to school here but you'd also have to go to college. Kind of like a dual enrollment thing. Plus, you'd get to sleep in dorms and stuff. Maybe this would actually give you a little taste of what is out there. Maybe harder classes will pick at your interest. Also, we have already picked out your room mate and he knows you are going there. Everything is settled. All I need is your answer. Would you be willing to do it?" He said as he stretched out his arm as if for me to shake it.
This was my opportunity. My great escape. I'd be able to get out of this rotten school for a bit and see what is out there. Meet new people.
I didn't hesitate to give my answer. "Yes! I am ready! Let's do this!" I jumped up from the chair and I shaked his hand. I didn't know what I was getting myself into.
