IT ALL STARTED WITH EXCHANGING LETTERS. Well, you started writing letters to Oh Sangwoo. You two were both patients at the hospital, your rooms weren't technically near, your room was at the end of the hall while his room was located at the middle. You always walk past his room which is why it's impossible to not notice him. You've been hospitalized earlier than him so you heard the news the moment he was checked in at the same floor as you.
He also intrigued you more the moment you saw two police officers guarding his door, they would take turns on keeping watch. Why would he need guards? Was he a victim? or was he the one who inflicted pain to others?
To your surprise he was both. Hitoshi Y/n was a successful well-known Psychiatrist. Because of her curiosity she used her connections to dig information and to connect to the boy.
She would send out a letter everyday, checking up and entertaining him. Well at first Sangwoo didn't bother reading the letters, he was too busy overthinking about what happened in his past. But the letters just kept on coming making him curious on what's inside them.
It started as one-sided, but as time went on Sangwoo decided to write a letter back. He wouldn't admit it out loud but you were slightly helping him. He actually thought he'd die early, hospitalized in bed just overthinking things. He knew that you know a few bits of his past, and how he truly is but that didn't stop you from talking to him which is why he's thankful.
' Hate to say it but it's nice to see that there's a person who genuinely like to talk to me despite of what I've done.'
That's what Sangwoo thinks of whenever he receives a letter from you. But what he didn't know was that you were a doctor. He was clueless that the only reason you sent him letters in the first place was to diagnose him.
However as time goes by that reason started to change. Hitoshi Y/n wanted to know Oh Sangwoo, not as a patient but as a friend. She was determined to understand him.
Eager to finally meet the famous Oh Sangwoo in person, she suggested to schedule an appointment with him. An appointment is what she likes call it to avoid suspicion and to hide the fact that she wanted to befriend him. She wanted to do anything she could to help him get better, even just a little.
