The Elite

Chapter 1

    In a faraway land where the Gods blessed the people by allowing them to wield their elements however the humans became greedy trying to possess more than one element it created a new element in creating the God of Darkness named Dargan . In fear of what the humans could do now, the Gods placed a curse on mankind. No human will possess more than one element. They never knew how this could hurt their people for the God of Darkness was consumed by greed and wanted to control all humans. He wanted there to only be one element, the element of darkness. He whispered his wishes into the weak humans consuming their ambitions and turning them into believers of the darkness. A great battle took place in the heavens where the Gods fought against him. The battle spread to the human world and mankind began to fight one another. Each God decided to bless two humans with extraordinary powers, one man and one woman who had exponential strength and control over God's element. They couldn't undo their past curse on mankind. The humans named the chosen ones the Elite

The human fought a long and hard battle while one multiple battle the darkness seemed to thrive in the chaos of the world. The war lasted 50 years, many Elites were lost in the war but every time one died a new one was chosen. The God battle seemed to never end as well when thunder and lightning ruled the sky the humans would say the Gods were fighting for mankind. As the war was turning in favor of God, Adrienne did something unexpected.

The Gods were able to defeat Dargan but it was too late his power had spread across the land infecting it like a disease taking over. He was weakened and poured his powers into one human to continue his work and mankind for him. The Gods were prohibited from walking amongst the humans so in a last-ditch effort they decided to bless one human with the power of all the elements, however, this would cut off their ties to their people. They would only be able to communicate with the chosen one who was meant to defeat the darkness for all of mankind.

Part of the original curse placed on mankind was that if a man and a women from opposite clans were to fall in love and birth a child, said the child would only possess the mother's element and never the father. Our story will begin with Gale Wixx the Elite member of the fire clan and Darya Chanel the Elite of the water clan falling in love while fighting to protect their homeland. One day became pregnant so she took a step back from the front lines however Gale was thrilled and fought harder to protect his new family however the war was at a standstill no side was backing down. Eventually, 9 months passed and Darya gave birth to a baby girl. She had red hair, avital characteristics of the fire clan, and beautiful sea blue eyes, a trait of the water clan. When Daryasaw her daughter, was surprised by her appearance, she expected her not to have the key characteristic of the fire clan but when Gale came back from the battlefield and held his baby girl in his arms for the first and last time he named her Thea.

"My dear Thea I will burn the world to protect you no matter what I'll be here for you," said while holding his daughter close to his heart as she held onto his index finger.

When Gale had to return to the battlefield he was heartbroken but knew that he needed to fight to protect his family. Six months after the birth of Thea the war turned for the worse so Darya also had to return to the battlefield as well they left Thea to their friend Rose.

Darya was on the southern part of the continent the war was taking place North but it wouldn't take long for the fight to reach her and Thea. Darya went to her friend's hometown. She used to be a warrior who would fight with the Elite but she left the battlefield when she was injured and got a limp. She sent a trunk down on the floor that was filled with items from both Darya and Gale. They didn't know when they'd be able to Thea so they left her with tokens from their past. Darya knocked on the old rustic door of a little cottage.

"Rose please protect her. I'll be back after this battle if they need me, I'll return in no more than six months' Darya stated as she handed Thea to Rose kissing Thea's forehead for the last time. She turned away and rode her horse into the forest as tears slide down her cheek. She knew that she needed to fight to protect her daughter but leaving Thea was the hardest thing she had ever done.

This would be the last time that Darya would get to see her daughter, the war fight was growing more and more difficult.

Seven years later, the battles got the best of both Gale and Darya. Running in the Forest of Winds, Gale was looking for Darya he had been stabbed in his abdomen he was holding it trying to keep pressure on the wound. He saw Darya sitting on the floor leaning up against a tree, she was in bad shape. Blood dripped from her lips she was bruised and beaten badly. Gale ran to her side, he tried to grab her but in his weakened state he couldn't lift her. He wasn't even sure he could move. Darya opened her eyes.

" They got me pretty good huh?" she looked at him with a weak smile " It was an ambush someone betrayed us Gale" she muttered from her lips looking at him.

"Just stay quiet while I try to get us out of here" he snapped at her. His mind was going a mile a minute he ripped his shirt and made a bandage for himself.

Darya managed to shift herself a little more up on the tree she looked out into the forest a shine hit her eyes when it shouldn't have. Her instances knew that someone was pointing an arrow at them.

"I'm sorry Gale forgive me," she muttered as she pushed up against the tree to stand grasping her bow tightly. Gale looked up at her.

"What are you talking about?" he asked her, but it was too late the moment those words left his lips an arrow found it into Darya's heart. She drew the attention of the unknown man. Gale's face turned pale looking at his wife with an arrow in her. She gave him a weak smile then she coughed up blood and fell to the floor.

Gale caught her in his arms. "No no no!" he screamed looking at her then his eyes shot to the direction the arrow came from. Whoever was there had long lefts.

"Do you think Thea will forgive us?" she asked Gale placing her hand on his cheek"I miss her I hope she grows to be strong" she said with her last breath.

Her hand slid off of Gales's's's face and he pulled her in holding her tightly, tears rolled down his cheeks. He couldn't bare to leave Darya there not without him. Gale's bandage was covered in blood, he was bleeding out. He turned his head to the right as he heard running footsteps coming towards him. When the shadowed the figure of a man started to appear he saw that it was Zion his comrade came running toward the two. He was part of the Earth clan and was a member of the Elite.

"Oh God," Zion said as he was Gale holding Daryas dead body with an arrow in it. "We need to go like now," Zion said he was the newest member of the Elite and was the youngest one among them only age eighteen. He could tell that Darya was gone based on how motionless she was. He started to pull Gales's arm,

"We have to GO! She's gone!!" he yelled at Gale. Gale set Darya down and stood up with all his strength barely able to walk. Zion through Gales's arm around his shoulder, helping carry him out of the forest the walked away, from the tree. "We'll come back for her you need to be treated now," he said.

Zion was able to get Gale out of the forest without receiving any other injuries. He passed Gale off to the healers who went to work immediately trying to heal his stab wound. Just as he promised he went back into the forest and brought back the body of Darya later that night. Zion prepared a message to the Elite HQ and all the Clan leaders who have played the role of finding the Elite.

In the battle that took place in the Forest of Winds Darya of the Water Clan was lost in the battle and Gale of the Fire Clan was severely wounded it is still unknown at this time if he will recover from his injuries. We were ambushed by the Darkness, and Darya's cause of death was an arrow to the heart I was able to retrieve her body and will be returning it to the base camp. The search for the new Water and Fire Clan Elite should take place immediately. We can't afford to fight without any more help.

- Elite Zion of the Earth Clan

While the healers were doing everything they could to save Gale that night he also lost his life. It was said that he couldn't find the will to live now that his love was gone. He had written a letter while lying on his deathbed. It was for his daughter Thea, however, she'd never receive the letter.

The Gods had already decided who the new Elite member would be. They decided this seven years ago when they blessed the child Thea with the ability to learn any element as she grew older. That night her mother died the Elite mark was placed on Thea it was on the back of her neck it was covered by her hair and the Fire clan Elite mark appeared on the left side of her chest, she slept peacefully not knowing the horrors that would await her.
