It was a gloomy and rainy morning at Mountain High. Marcus had just gotten to school and noticed Charlie walking into the doors. "Ahh shoot.. Really rain?, You just had to mess up my hair RIGHT in front of my crush." Marcus said, while rummaging through his backpack for a brush. Charlie was about to walk inside when he saw Marcus having trouble. Since he was supposed to be kind and helpful, he decided to help. "Are you okay.? You seem like you need some help." As Charlie spoke, Marcus tried to smile as if he wasn't in distress. "Yeah.. thanks. I couldn't find my hairbrush." "Why do you even need it? Your hair looks fine!" Charlie said, with a sweet smile and a little bit of blush on his face. Marcus was speechless. Nobody has ever told him he didn't need to fix his hair. Marcus remembered all the times his parents, exes, and friends have told him he looked horrible and needed to fix himself up.

"U-Uh.. I'm glad you think so.? Shoot, I don't know what to say." Marcus said, still trying to smile. Charlie just smiled back in response, and found his hairbrush. Marcus, still a bit speechless, took the brush, zipped his backpack up, and walked into the school doors with Charlie. "CHARLIE." The girl who had screamed Charlie's name was Addy, one of Charlie's best friends. "Huh? What'd you need-" Charlie had been cut off by a punch in the arm. "Ow! What the heck? Why'd you do that?" He looked at Addy with a livid look on his face, clutching his arm in pain. "Because! You told him!" Addy looked at Marcus and pointed at him. "Huh? ME? Charlie didn't tell me anything." Marcus looked puzzled, even though Charlie did tell him something, he didn't wanna say the truth. Addy, still angry, crossed her arms and walked off. What an odd girl..
