Whirlpool (Nya x Skylor)

Nya's POV

"Skylor is here!" yelled Lloyd. We all ran towards the door. But I ran the fastest. Skylor was coming to stay at the monastary for a week. I was really excited to see her again. Even though I didn't know her that well before, we started to bond after she came to help us when Harumi and her cult attacked. During that time I got to know her more and we formed a friendship. 

I got to the door, even before Kai did, and opened it. There was Skylor, with her beautiful red hair tied in a ponytail as always. Then she met my gaze with her lovely eyes. "Hi Nya!" she said. "Hi Skylor!" I replied. Then I wrapped my arms around her. She froze for a second, probably suprised with the warm welcome, but then returned the hug. Thats when Kai got here. He waited until we were done to welcome Skylor. Then all the other ninja came and welcomed her too. 

After that Kai offered to show Skylor to the guest bedroom which is where she will be sleeping. A part of me was upset that Kai got to be around Skylor. I don't know why though. I mean, we all know Kai likes Skylor, it is pretty obvious. Skylor never really seemed that into Kai though. That thought made me happy. Why do I care if Skylor likes Kai? I thought to myself. I shaked my head to get out of my thoughts then left to go to my room.

That evening Skylor came to my room. She knocked on the door and I said "Come in." She stepped in through the doorway into my room. "We are playing truth or dare," Skylor said, "Be in the living room in 5 minutes." After she sent her message she left. I headed down to the living room at the time we started. Kai and Skylor were sitting on the couch and Cole, Jay, Zane and Lloyd were sitting on the floor in a circle. I sat down on the seat next to Skylor, I didn't want her to be sitting with Kai. Skylor smiled at me then the game started. 

Kai decided that he was going first. "Jay, truth or dare?" Jay excitingly responed with "Dare!" "I dare you to keep 4 ice cubes in your mouth until they melt." Jay did not look happy but he eventually accepted the ice cubes from Zane. Now Jay asked, "Lloyd, truth or dare." "Truth," Lloyd said, I could see he wasn't taking any chances. "Tell everyone how you feel about Harumi." Right after asking him question, Jay popped the ice cubes into his mouth and tried to keep a straight face. Lloyd's face darkened. We knew that Harumi was a touchy subject for him. He took a deep breath and slowly started. "Well, I kinda liked her before I found out she was a psychopath an she revived my father without his good and tried to kill me and kill you guys." 

The other boys stopped moving. They must have forgetten that we thought they were dead when that happened. After a few moments in silence Lloyd said "Cole, truth or dare." "Dare!" "I dare you to do a handstand!" Cole grumbled under his breath but got ready to do it. He went down and... he did it! He was there for a good 5 seconds too. Everyone looked a bit shocked after he was done. "Wow Cole, didn't know you could do a handstand," Jay whistled. "Pros of being the son of a dancer," said Cole quietly, but now it was his turn to ask truth or dare. He turned to me "Nya, truth or dare." "Truth," I said. He put on a mischievous smile, "Say who your crush is, if you have one." I thought for a moment. Jay and I broke up a while ago, even though we were still good friends I definetly didn't have a crush on him. Then I looked a Skylor and blushed. "Do I have to tell everyone," I asked. Cole shrugged "You could just tell me I guess." "Thats not fair!" Kai yelled. I ignored him. I went to Cole's ear and whispered "Skylor." Cole covered his mouth with his hands "I totally called it! You guys definetly had something going for each other!" I gave him a questioning look but went back to my seat. Everyone was asking who it was but then I said "Everyone shut up it's my turn!" 

After everyone stopped I asked "Kai, truth or dare?" "Dare!" I smirked, I knew the perfect dare for him. "I dare you to take off your hairgel for at least the rest of the game. " Everyone was shocked, in a way that they found it hilarious. Kai wasn't laughing though. He dramtically walked to the bathroom to take off his hairgel. When he came back everyone burst out laughing again. Even Skylor giggled and smiled at me. His hair was suprisingly long, going past his shoulders, when it wan't in spikes. "StOp BulLyInG mE GuYs ItS NOt fUnNy," Kai said with dramatic saddess. That just made everyone laugh more. 

It took a while until everyone was calm again. By then it looked like Kai was ready . "Skylor, truth or dare?" "Dare," She said. I got nervous, Kai looked nervous too. He was a bit red in the face but looked confident. "I dare you to kiss me,"

I froze. Skylor looked uncomfortable and a wave of anger came over me. From this point on I had no idea what I was doing. I protectively held on to Skylor's hand and heard myself yelling at Kai. "Why would you do that what if Skylor doesn't like you what if she already is dating someone you are so selfish and unthoughtful!" I don't know what I was doing or why but I ran out of the room dragging Skylor with me. I didn't know where I was going but I ended up in the guest room. As soon as I got there I realized what I did. I was so embarassed. I started apologising right away. "I'm so sorry I should have asked you first you probably wanted to-" "No," Skylor interuppeted. "Thank you, I did not want to kiss Kai. I never liked him romantically, even though he most likely liked me," I rolled my eyes as Skylor continued. "But really, thanks for getting me out of there." She smiled at me with gratitude and my heart fluttered. 

I thought for a moment then said, "You know, since the first time I met you, I always thought you were amazing. You always helped us when we really needed it." "You guys wouldn't have survived the sons of Garmadon without me," Skylor said jokingly. I chuckled and finally said, looking into her eyes, "Skylor, I really like you," She looked shocked so I continued. "I know you probably don't like me and you are to good for me and-" Skylor silenced me with a kiss. She pulled away, red in the face, "Sorry I shouldn't have-" I just smiled at her and kissed her again. We laughed and kissed and this was the happiest I felt in a while. 

~BONUS~

Cole walked in to check on the girls. He got in right in the middle of them kissing. He said "That was quicker then I expected," and akwardly walked out. He was hiding his smile.

This was my first story, sorry its not very good. I'll try to update soon. I'm thinking of doing samurai next but I don't really have an idea. Also if you have any ideas or any suggestions for a ship or something let me know in the comments!
