Waking up at dawn is terrible. It's been days and 10 people have been reported dead... in MY neighborhood! Is the "jinx" game really bad?

Now I'm scared for my own life. I have to go to school though. Mom has driven me since it can lower the risks of getting jinxed.

But this morning, no one was at home.

"Mom?" I looked around.

But there was no one, just the one vague human...

Me.

Oh no. No. The game couldn't have taken her. Not her. Who would've jinxed her? Someone through the phone? I don't think so. I ran around the house, maybe I could find evidence of her being jinxed.

Then I found a card hanging in the kitchen.

"Honey, don't worry about me. I'm fine, I was just called to work earlier," Oh. That's a relief.

"Thank god," I sighed.

I saw her car parked outside though. Doesn't she normally need to drive? I guess she chose to walk to work today. I won't judge her, because her adult life choice aren't my decisions to take. I got inside the car since luckily, I have a driver's license.

I arrived at school and Veva was crying. I walked over to her and pat her on the back, but even that didn't work, which it usually does.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I- I had to do the right thing..." Veva spilled tears.

"Just spit it out," I groaned.

"Remember when I told you about my twin sister...? Yesterday?"

"Yeah, that she died and such, why?" I asked, not sure if prepared to what I'm about to hear next.

"I killed my mom!" She screamed.

I was not prepared. So, things went horribly wrong.

"WHAT! WHY DID YOU KILL YOUR MOM? SHE'S THE ONE WHO BROUGHT YOU TO LIFE," I complained.

"Didn't you hate your mom?" She wondered.

"NOT ANYMORE!" I scoffed.

"That's a-"

"LEAVE!" I cut her off.

"Geez, chill," she said.

"I. WON'T!" I groaned, "LEAVE."

"Fine... but I'm sorry for this," She reluctantly said.

Oh. She's about to jinx me.

"Sorry girl," She winced.

"JI-"

"JINX!" I cut her off. This was hard to commit, but I had to do it, my life or hers, her life.

I'm counting, "5...6..."

Then Madeleine came out of nowhere, she's the school bully, but she indeed shocked me today.

"7...8..."

"VEVA, VEVA, VEVA!" She screamed.

"9..." Then I gasped, "Wait what!? How dare you Maddy!"

"You think I'm going to stand here and let my cousin die?" She said, "And by the way you're such a monster! I found out you jinxed Kirka! I'm definitely spreading this too."

"Try," I said, "JINX Maddy. JINX Veva."

"I have to say, I'm kind of smart," I said before leaving them stunned and obviously, speechless.

"Mm!" Veva cried, "MMMMMM."

"Mm..." Maddy said before collapsing to the ground.

"Got ya," I laughed, "Hahaha."

Wait... but Veva's alive and putting her phone away?

"What did you do," I groaned.

"Called someone, they said my name thrice," Veva said.

"You are smart aren't you," I grab her and her phone and break it into pieces, "JINX! Who's smarter now?"

"Mmm"

"Oh, you can't answer? Such a shame..." I said evil laughing.

"MMMm!!" She stomped her feet.

"Such a shame..." I laughed.

"You're a bully!" She screamed before collapsing to the floor.

How the heck did she speak? I'm not even going to ask.

I walk back to class.

I opened the door, and everyone gasped and started screaming "JINX" over each other.

Seemed like they wanted to jinx me, but they were jinxing other people. I soonly exited before it landed on me.

I got in the car and sped back home.

But...nononononoonononononononononon....
