Author's note: This is Dolos, reporting in from 36000 feet above sea level. How it do, my fellow robo-lesbian enjoyers? By the time this chapter is out, I'll be on dry, sea level land, but for now, I'm airborne...
K...
Uhhhh... so... chapter. Here. Read. Enjoy...

I woke up on the sofa, the window in front of me...
The house on the other side was still there, looming over us. The light of the sun shining on it, leaving us in shadow.
I went over to Ariane who was out cold in the tub, her condition deteriorating right before my eyes.
She opened her mouth briefly showing nothing but the pink of gums and a tongue. "Elster..." she mumbled.
I stroked her head, the last strands of her hair barely holding onto her head, "I'm here, Ari. Do you need anything?" I asked softly.
Pockmarks covered her face and arms
She breathed weakly in reply.
She was just sleep talking.
I left the room, leaving her behind.
I hadn't eaten in a while... how long had it been?
I pushed the thought aside, rushing to the office. The thief would be there today... I was sure of it.
I entered the office.
I knew that if I found out about her, I could finally figure out a way to save Ariane and we could watch the sunset together again.
I would kill for that possibility if it came to it.
I watched the imposter sneak in making her way to her cubicle.
Every move I made, I made to watch her without her knowing.
This had to be the solution. There was nothing else I could do.
She was in a rush.
She was looking over her shoulder.
She knew I was there.
She knew I was onto her.
She was scared...
I was getting to her...
She ran back to her mirror house, pausing infront of the door to straighten herself out before going in.
I went home too, to the real house.
The real Ariane needed me.
I made my way inside. It was quiet... empty... soon, it'll get better... when Ariane gets back to her usual self. Then we could just be silly and live together for as long as our bodies last.
I paused that train of thought there.
How long did Ariane have left?
I opened the door to her room. She was still there, mumbling to herself in her red pool, her eyes a faint shade of pink. I looked down and moved in, sitting beside her.
"Elster? Are you home?"
"Yeah, Ari..."
"It's... been a while since you called me that," she started to giggle before it got stuck in her throat making her cough.
I reached out to her stoking her head, frantically trying to help calm her down.
I stroked her skull for a minute till her coughs subsided.
"I'm okay," she finally replied, "I'm fine, Elster."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, just tired."
"Yeah..." I sighed, "rest well, sweetheart."
"Mmmh" she hummed back, already half asleep.
I watched her fall asleep.
Her breaths slowed, almost to a standstill. I had to hold myself back from shaking her back awake so she wouldn't look like a corpse.
I leaned my head, supporting it on the edge of the tub.
I drifted away from this place.
I dreamt of the stars.
I was up there.
Earth was nowhere to be seen.
And Ariane was beside me.
We were just there, between the stars, together.
I thought it was beautiful.
It... was beautiful.
