Getting older is realizing that life isn't calm with a few storms sprinkled in. It's a big storm that has multiple eyes. For many it's easier to huddle on their raft being tossed around by the waves and hope they make it to one.
I've internalized the belief that it's far more worth it to swim, fight for the peace. In doing so learn what peace really means and is.
Life is a series of consequences that can be good or bad. In general you determine what those tend to be.
Peace in the mind and soul rely on the determination of the individual to achieve it.
Most everything is up to us, and what isn't up to us shouldn't be dwelled on. We've been given a body, and a mind to perceive what that body experiences. We owe it to ourselves to unlock our meaning, purpose, and potential.
