Waking up in the comfort of the Jones villa, I fetch my phone following a series of chimes. Opening the messages, it was James from NXTGEN, he was organizing a hang out for us all. His message read:

Cheers to a possible friendship.

I know we are all competitors for a place at NXTGEN, but that doesn't make us enemies. We can still become best friends, have fun, and wish each other the best. On this note, I'm inviting you all for a hang-out.

No +1s except he/she was also in the hall💐.

Note: Punctuality is key

Seeing the tagline in bold gave me a hearty laugh. He was imitating the NXTGEN letter.

James had even gone as far as creating a WhatsApp group where he shared the venue and other details.

What I didn't know is that I was the only one yet to agree to the hangout. With a smirk on my face, I willingly weighed in my "YES".

"This should be fun!" I thought.

Now, to the next problem, what will I be wearing? I pondered as I made my way out of bed.

Today will be a continuation of everything that happened yesterday. I was psyched up by the thoughts of all the fun I could have today.

But first, I need to get the hell out of the villa. I was starting to feel awkward because I had never spent the night outside my home before.

I went to the bathroom to shower and get dressed so I could get out of the house before Jones woke up.

After taking my bath, I quickly dressed up to get myself out of the house. My little scheme seemed to be working before I was startled by a voice. The voice was from the person I wanted to avoid the most in the world at this point.

"Good morning Enya, going somewhere?" Jones asked, seated in a chair by the top left corner.

I had no choice but to turn around and face the one person I don't want to see.

"Hey Jones, I didn't see you there," I said awkwardly.

"Come have a seat blondie," Jones concluded with a grin.

I slowly went to have a seat close to where Jones was seated.

"It is not healthy to sneak out of people's houses without a proper goodbye, you know?" Jones asked with hint of seriousness in his eyes.

"I know I know, I don't have a suitable excuse for doing that. I'm sorry about that," I said, apologetically.

"You are forgiven Blondie. So, where are you going exactly?"

"Well, I am going to prepare for another party," I concluded.

"Wow! Since when did you start attending parties?" Jones asked, surprised by what he just heard.

"Since today young man. You know I need to get out more and have fun!" I added.

"That's the spirit!" Jones added happily.

"I hope I will be seeing you around?" Jones asked skeptically.

"Sure! If I'm not too busy," I said reassuringly.

I left the Jones Villa with a smile on my face.

Immediately I got home, I quickly went to my wardrobe to check what I should be wearing to the party.

I finally settled for the black sleeveless straight gown.

Soon, the time for the party was nearing and I decided to rent a car to take me to the party.

After a 10 minutes' drive, I arrived at the venue where all the prospects were supposed to meet and party. I wondered at the type of party it was going to turn out to be.

Immediately I got inside, I could see everybody, at least those that I could remember their faces. The number of people present at the party was more than I bargained for.

When I got to the party, all eyes were on me. It was like I stood up too much. Maybe it was my choice of clothes or I looked outside my league.

I couldn't help but wonder why people were staring. I decided to scan and decipher what could be wrong because I was starting to feel awkward.

I noticed that they were all wearing very colorful clothes unlike me who wore simple clothes.

Soon, the party's activities started.

There were games of all kinds that lasted till dawn.
