"Why didn't you receive the ball?!"

"You could have saved the ball if you had put in more effort! Now look! We lost because of you!"

"Tch, you're good for nothing, the only thing you do is to be a burden for this team"

"I believed in you, ???. You disappointed me"

"I knew I was better than you, you scum!"

Pressure

The pressure that I felt that day made me feel bad, horrendous and useless. That day was the day that we would play the female juvenile volleyball semi finals to play the nationals once again, unfortunately...

"Sawahashi-senpai! If you were more faster and talented, we would have won the semi-finals!"

"You're useless, why didn't the coach bench you?"

"What a good for nothing of a captain that we have, quit volleyball"

I heard those kind of things when we're in the court in the middle of the second set, I would usually ignore it, but I had enough of them saying that. That day I gave up on doing everything that I had in my hands to lead them to the victory, they didn't deserve it at all

They were mean, lazy, judging and ignorants. They barely attended practice or even do anything useful for the team, so why would I help them win? If they want to win so bad, go do it themselves, but I'm not willing to cooperate with incompetent and stupid people like them

"Coach Yukosaki, sorry about what you'll hear next, but I'm quitting" I said looking at the ground, I sincerely didn't want to see his reaction to my statement, I know perfectly that he would be very sad about it

"Huh? Why is that, Sawahashi? Is it because of them?" He asked as he was worried about me, he knew that if I quit this team would fall down from its peak

"Um, you could say that, coach" I said scratching my nape "I have a limit to bare with them, so, as they said, I lack talent, leadership, agility, etc..." I said listing the things they've told me "with that I don't have any reason to stay in this team" I added before picking my sports bag, ready to leave

While I made my way to the gym doors to leave, I took a last glance at my coach with a sad smile "This team has fallen down, ready to retire" I said before leaving this building forever

Right now, you guys might be wondering, did you really quit volleyball?

To answer that, no, I didn't. It's not like I couldn't, I was attached to the sport by nature. Imagining me not playing volleyball was a nightmare, after a couple of days since I told myself that I would quit, I just couldn't. My instinct led me to the volleyball boys club of Karasuno, when I was in my first year there and now, I continue to be involved in this stupid sport

But I didn't want to be in the club, after a couple of weeks, I started to skip practice, inventing excuses that were not actually excuses, but truth. Well, to be honest, it sounded like excuses, anyways.

After all this rambling, I was now in front of the gym doors of the volleyball boys club of Karasuno, shaking like a coward, enjoy my adventure
