Ord Mantell, a mountainous temperate planet, located on the mid rim of the galaxy, a trade hub for generations of traders and crime gangs alike. You only knew of it because it rivaled David's family connections. The Auqom family had been involved with the large traders guild known as the Onyx Monolith on Felucia, and it was only natural for them to despise other trading depos who competed for their profits. Ord Mantell had come up as one of the locations 'stealing their business' but that was all you had heard of it before being advised to come here yourself.

Your mind came back into focus and you felt your body lowering back to the floor of your ship. Your feet touched the ground and you opened your eyes, closing your channeled connection to the force.

There are some theories that the force was stronger in some locations than in others. Some planets, usually harboring ancient connections, or planets filled with life, had more force flowing with them, but this did not mean that there was a place without force anywhere in the galaxy, and even the youngest padawan could find a connection in the darkest and most distant of places.

Ord Manetell was not a particularly strong location compared to other planets you had visited, but the difference was marginal and was hardly noticed. Your body felt both rested and sore and you rubbed your eyes and stretched from your meditation. --I'm definitely out of practice- you mentally noted, inspecting your terrariums and making your bed.

Like any force user, wielding the force came with practice. Some were genetically disposed of with stronger connections, but channeling the force, like opening a pipe, could be done by any wielder. How much force you could use, varied with practice and natural skill.

You still had nightmares about what happened on Felucia. Not vivid or frequent but enough to stir your emotions into waking yourself up. Faint screaming, the sound of fire devouring trees, the clicking noises of armor and weapons, the heat and smell of ash.

Since reconnecting with the force on Utapau, you had tried to make a habit of meditating early in the morning, especially when you had just been woken by a nightmare. Steadily you were restoring and building on your connection, and would be capable of utilizing the force again. It gave you a sense of grounding and comfort you needed and helped you move out of your fears and back into reality. Shame you could only use it sparingly, but the temptation to use it again on missions was present.

--Of course, that would immediately signal I'm a jedi-- you remembered --still can't use it on missions yet, at least not with company--.

It had been a day or so since you had returned successfully from Mygeeto. As usual Cid was happy with your results, paid you fairly in 'criminal terms' and you had started to go about your duties with the parlor.

Tech had requested you to see him about your ears at some point, but you thought they were fine so you decided against being alone or around him. While your ears might need to be looked at, you did not feel like facing your developing crush on Tech right now.

Echo had also brought up a decent point when you had been flying home and it was still eating at your mind. Once the bounty's are decided in the new imperial system, your life might shift again. You hadn't been trusting anyone with key information but you did desire to. It's challenging to have trust and connection without truth because there is always the question 'what if'.

For people like Echo, trust seemed to come pretty easy. This was because Echo saw a black and white world and you had heard about his feelings on separatists before. You either were good or you were not good. However, you believe there is more to trusting a person, and making an upfront judgment call is reserved for emergency situations. Hunter and Tech had been more on the cautious side and after Omega mentioned Tech had been researching ships you suspected they were looking into who you were.
