"What took you so long?" Ben whispers into my hair.
"I've been a little busy," i whisper back.
"I missed you so much,"
"I missed you to." We sit hugging for a while before we are interupted by the doctor.
"Excuse me. Ben, I'm afraid we have some bad news. One of the vertibre in your spine was damaged very badly. The surgery to fix it is incredibly risky, and you could be left paralyzed, however you could be paralyzed without the surgery too." The doctor hands Ben a slip of paper, no doubt about the surgery.
"We just don't have the money," he sighs.
"I do," I say quietly.
"Charlie no don't waste your money on me,"
"It wouldn't be a waste, we are getting you that surgery."
"And if it doesn't go well?"
"Then you can never run away! MUWHOAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!"
"Strange child," he jokes kissing my cheek.
"Yes, but I'm your strange child," i cuddle him.
"Are you sure?"
"Have you seen what i make now a days?" i laugh thinking about my life now. Four years ago I was working in a run down diner going no where. Now I am a successful musical artist.
"Yeah real money, not just tips from the diner," he rolls his eyes. "I love you Charlotte."
"I love you to Benjamin," i giggle at his glare.
"I thought you promised to not call me that!"
"And you promised not to call me Charlotte!"
"Fine," he grumbles cuddling me and Christie close to him and eventually falling asleep.
