Obi-wan Kenobi panicked. He had received no message from Ahsoka since she had left to confront Anakin, and he had decided to come to aid the Togruta himself. Obi-wan increased the speed on the small Starfighter he flew as fast as the engine would allow, hurling towards Mustafar.

He had left Padmé, who had since gone into labor, with Rex on a small medical outpost on Polis Massa. While he hated to leave her, he felt something had gone terribly wrong.

When they had heard of Anakin's deeds, both Ahsoka and Obi-wan had wanted to go confront him together. Though, after some discussion, they decided it would be best if only one went to face him. If something had happened, Obi-wan didn't know if he'd ever be able to forgive himself.

The ship landed roughly. Obi-wan would have once considered such a landing sloppy, lazy even. Now, however, he didn't know how much time he had left. Grabbing his lightsaber, he rushed out of the ship just quickly enough to see another take off in the distance. Obi-wan wasted no time in his search, using the Force to enhance his speed.

Soon enough, he found Ashoka's ship. She had landed it perfectly, despite the less-than-ideal terrain. Obi-wan couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride. Unfortunately, the ship was empty. While it was right there and perfectly functional, Ahsoka was nowhere in sight.

Mustafar wasn't exactly a hospitable planet; if Ahsoka wasn't in her ship, he feared where she might be instead.

After a good few minutes, Obi-wan saw two shining objects in the distance. He darted forward, and his fears were confirmed. They were very clearly Ahsoka's lightsabers, but there was no other sign of her. Obi-wan scanned the area around the cliff, eyes alert for any sign of the Togruta. "Ahsoka!" He shouted, scanning the fiery landscape. He shouted again, more frantically. "Ahsoka?"

Obi-wan sat down in a cross legged position, closing his eyes. Maybe if he reached out to the Force, he could find some clue of what happened here. Obi-wan blinked, and found himself made a spectator in a fierce battle.

Anakin and Ahsoka's lightsabers clashed, blue on blue.

Obi-wan almost smiled, feeling a burst of pride. In her time away from the Order, she hadn't lost any of her well-earned skill in lightsaber combat.

After missing a strike, Anakin stumbled forward. Using his loss of balance to his advantage, Ahsoka sent a swift kick into Anakin's stomach, sending him rolling down the side of the cliff without the lava flow.

"I have the high ground, Anakin!" Ahsoka shouted down as Anakin worked to regain his footing. "Please, come with me. We can still fix this." Her steely gaze softened, and she sheathed one of her lightsabers so she could stretch out a hand towards him.

"Please, Anakin," Obi-wan hadn't meant to speak his thoughts aloud, but it wasn't as if either of the combatants could hear him, anyway. It didn't stop him from wishing.

Anakin ignored Ahsoka's offer and lunged at her chest with his saber. She dodged, taking a split second to grab her second lightsaber again.

That was good, at least. She'd be able to defend herself more properly with both her lightsabers.

Anakin sliced down, making contact with Ahsoka's wrist.

     No, wait-

She cried out in pain. Both of her sabers dropped, along with a hand. Ahsoka stumbled, tumbling over the side of the cliff and into the lava below. Anakin screamed something, running to where she had fallen.
