She was a very quiet girl. All alone in the bustling school corridor, walking by herself, no friends at all. People referred to her as 'The weird, loner new kid." How was she so perfect even when silent? Luscious, beautiful long brown hair, and pure, hazy eyes. How could she ever like me? I'm a nothing to her. I wish I had what people had in those romance novels. Oh, how I wish...

"Hey, Dex, are you even listening?" I immediately flipped my head back around, out of my daydream and glanced at my friend, Axel, who was supposedly talking to me the whole time while I was zoned out. Great, it was probably something important too.

"Uh, sorry, you were saying?" I questioned, clearly still distracted by her. The bell rang. As she walked away, I finally turned my body around to face Axel, who clearly saw who I was staring at. Then he gave me a 'Ooh, you have a crush' look towards me, simply saying
"Meet me at the benches at recess, our usual spot with the others.", before leaving to go to his class. I nodded and headed off to my class too, the gentle breeze of the wind brushing against my shoulder as I walked down the now empty corridor. Second bell.
