You sat down at the corner of the cafeteria with your friends and some of the other students who were asking you for tutoring. You are popular in the school because you are the top student among them. Your friends have always been your supporter. They gave you strength and courage.
As for you, they are your only family members. You are an orphan girl coming from uptown. You earned money by tutoring and sometimes doing a part-time job. You are proud of your intelligence. In study and knowledge, you could be the best student but in appearance, you are failed. Not because you are not pretty but because you are not one of the girls who would waste money for beauty. The money that you earn is only for study and daily life.
In people's eyes, you are a nerdy girl. Wearing big glasses and a ponytail makes you look like a girl with no fashion sense. You have been working for eight years since you start high school. And now you are a college student. Your fashion is still not changed as time passed.
"Don't you think you should change yourself?" Lisa, one of your friends said. She was staring at you while resting her head on the table facing your side. She just finishes her assignments while you were taking some notes from her laptop.
"Not necessary though. I'm more comfortable like this." You said fixing your fake glasses while typing the keyboard. Yeah, you wear the glasses because it was a gift you got from one of the purchases. You don't have any sight problems.
"You are 22 years old. We all have boyfriends and I'm worried about you being alone." Jisoo suddenly spoke. You look up to see her and glance back as saw her boyfriend was coming to your table.
"Speak of the devil." You said and back to the assignments. Then you saw your other friends. Male friends. To be honest, you are not close to any boys but because of Jisoo's boyfriend, you have male friends. You don't like to be in a relationship but you do have a crush on someone.
"Yo, girls!" Seungcheol greets Lisa while taking a seat next to you. You look up when someone pats your shoulder. He just smiles at you and takes a seat on the other side of you.
"What's up?" You ask while sitting between the two boys.
"We already submitted this assignment. Why do you still working on this?" Seungcheol said taking a look at the papers on the table.
"Ask her." You said pointing to Lisa. The girl pouted at you.
"It was yours? And why are you working on it, Y/N? She should be the one who has to finish it." Joshua said glaring at Lisa.
"She keeps begging her to help her do the assignment." Rose suddenly interrupted. Lisa was jaw-dropping to hear that. Her friend just betrayed her.
"It's okay. I have nothing to do. Just think that I do a charity." You said still doing the assignment. Lisa just smirks at them when you said that.
"You guys are jealous because she loves me more." She said proudly.
"Aniyo. I just helping." You correct her as the others just laugh at her. You look down at the laptop while glancing at Lisa who was sulking. You smile to see her surely pouting to the others.
"Done. You just print these out and go to submit them." You said to turn the laptop to Lisa. She smiles and thanks you for helping her do the assignment.
Lisa clear the table and went to order the food for all of them. You went to help her with the order since it was for all of your friends too.
"Hey." You look up to see someone standing behind you. He is just taller than you as you can see his face without turning around.
"Glad you are here. Help us, please." You said while taking the tray in front of you. He bends over to take the tray with both hands. Lisa is at the side just watching him. From the side, it looks like he was hugging you from behind.
