2 years of love

On this very day, 2 years ago. Shinya confessed to you. Ever since that day, you've changed because of him. Shinya had to work late the night before your anniversary together. You were okay with it since it was no big deal. It had already happened multiple times. What you didn't know that something was going to happen between you and shinya. 

Shinya came home at 2a.m., you knew because you could hear the door to your shared bedroom opening. Not long later, you could feel a warm sensation behind you. You knew who it is. Shinya. The next morning, he got up super early. You could hear him getting out of bed, after that nothing else happened. He didn't wake you up as usual, he didn't give you a kiss as usual, he especially did not run his fingers through your hair to wake you up. You felt it was weird but, then again you felt another warm sensation. You knew shinya went back to bed. Assuming, he was still tired. You woke up around 10:30a.m. Shinya was still "asleep". You thought of him working so late that he must be tired. You decided to let him sleep through the day. Not worrying about your anniversary. You went to make breakfast for the 2 of you. You sat at the dining table, waiting for shinya to wake up. You got hungry so you just decided to eat without him. While eating, you were looking at old photos together. You suddenly got a text message from guren.

"Hey, Y/N. Is shinya at home?"

"Hey!"

"Shinya's still sleeping why?" you replied

"Well, we have an important meeting today, did he forget?"

"Oh, I think he did, I better go wake him up then.."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm okay why?"

"Your texting is different than usual"

"Uhm, does he really need to go to that meeting?"

"Yes, it's an important one"

"Well, today's our anniversary, I was thinking maybe he can take leave?"

Guren left you on read. Assuming that's a no, you decided to go and wake him up. When you entered the bedroom, you could see the sun, shining through his white-silver hair. He was like a prince. You snapped out of it and went to wake shinya up. You tried multiple ways like: kissing him, running your fingers through his hair, holding his hand tightly. None of those worked. You stared at him wondering what kind of dream he's having if he can't even wake up after those methods. While looking for ways to wake him up, you spot a letter that said "To: Y/N <3" . Curiosity had hit you and you decided to open the letter, it read. 

"To my love, Y/N. "

"Happy 2nd anniversary my love"

"I'm sorry, I can't spend it with you this year." Wondered about why he said that.

"I left some chocolates and a few other presents as a surprise for you."

"I hope you enjoy them"

"Now, I must get to the point"

"I'm sorry I never told you earlier. This is a bit hard to explain. You knew about the catastrophe guren caused when we were 16? I was one of the victims that was revived by guren. Since reviving us made the angels angry, they caused the horseman of the apocalypse. Even though reviving me was a great idea, I only had 10 years to live. After that, I would die." You read as tears started to fill, one by one dropping down your cheeks.

"I know this is a bit sudden but, today's the day I die. I had already expected this day would come.  I'm sorry I couldn't spend more than 2 years with you. You meeting me, falling in love made my world colourful. My own dull world became colourful because of you. I really wanted to spend our anniversary together. Meeting you, guren, and many more people was a great achievement in my life. I loved every moment I spent together with them, with you." There are drops of tears on the letter, your tears can't stop falling down. Your heart was empty. A big hole in your heart formed. 

"This was a wonderful 2 years of my life. Now, please my love. I know you're crying, please don't. That pretty face of yours shouldn't be crying right now. Our hearts will stick together, soul by soul. Whenever you feel, empty inside, remind yourself I'm still here. Now, I have one job for you and one promise for you. Please promise me to never forget about me, I'll always be in your heart. Now for the job, please message guren, there will be letters on my table respectively for one and each of my friends. My love this is my last goodbye, can you fulfill my wishes?"

"Love, shinya"

Tears started falling down uncontrollably. You laid beside shinya's restless corpse. While still crying, you decided to fulfill shinya's last wish. You text guren while crying, so your vision was a bit blurry. 

"Guren. I'm really sorry to text you now if your busy. Shinya told me to fulfill his last wish, go to his office, there will be letters for each and everyone of you. Including your black demon series wielders."

"I..it was today...?"

"I'm sorry guren"

After that no text was sent, no text was read. You decided to host a funeral for shinya. After shinya's death, you left the black demon army and decide to just focus on living till the fullest.
