365 Days With You ((Niam))

Chapter 17

"What are you going to dress up as?" Niall asks me through the phone.

I am sitting in my empty bathtub while talking to Niall because I'm scared that my mother would hear me again and barge in.

I stared at the toilet paper beside me. "I don't know. Maybe I'll just wrap myself in tissue paper and pretend to be a mummy" I half-joked.

"Don't! That means I wouldn't see your face" Niall chuckled. "Have you asked your parents?"

"No" I said as I played with my flashlight toothbrush.

"Go ask them. It's just a simple Halloween party on a Friday night" Niall said but we both know that knowing Harry, it probably won't be so simple.

"Alright, alright. What are you going as?" 

"Secret" I can practically hear him grinning on the other side.

"Fine then" I said, rolling my eyes playfully.

"I have to go eat my 2nd dinner. I'll talk to you later or tomorrow okay?" Niall said and I laughed. 2nd dinner? How many times a day does this boy eat?

"Alright. I love you" I said.

"I love you too" he says and I wait for him to hang up before I do.

As soon as I'm sure that Niall is gone. I climbed out of the bathtub and put my iPhone under my pillow and then slowly made my way to the living room where my dad is watching the TV.

I found him on the sofa with his feet on the coffee table in front of him.

"Hey dad" I say.

He turned around. "Oh hey Liam, join me" he says and I sit beside him even though I don't really care about the news.

"Dad, can I go to this Halloween party tomorrow?" I ask.

My dad looks amused. "Aren't you too old to be going on a Halloween party?"

I roll my eyes. "It's a party for teenagers. I won't do anything stupid and it’s the first party I’ve ever been invited in" I say.  I know he understands me more than my mum ever will.

"I would gladly allow you kiddo but you have to ask your mum or else she'll kill me if she finds out that I let you go on a party without her consent" dad said and I sighed. At least I got 1 approval.

I stood up and made my way to the kitchen. She was too busy cleaning the plates to notice I entered the room.

"Hey mum" I say.

She turned around with a surprised look. "Hello Liam. What are you doing here? Are you hungry? Do you want me to make something for you?"

"No. I just wanted to ask your permission for a Halloween party tomorrow night" I said. I closed my eyes and hoped that my mother would not scream at me and allow me to say yes.

"But what if you do something dangerous?" she asks and I open my eyes.

"I won't. Niall's there. I trust him more than anybody else. Please mum. He's my only friend and he's gonna be alone there and it’s my first ever party and what kind of teenage has never been to a party? Please mum. Please. I'll do the dishes for a month" I say.

My mother looks like she was debating with herself. "I don't want you to make any mistakes that you will regret later on"

"I won't" I say.

"Fine" she says. I can't believe it! I can't freaking believe it! "In one condition" she continues and I gulp. Wondering what that condition is. "You have to wash the dishes for a month and I have to be the one to decide what your costume is"
