Ever since I was young I wanted to be a nurse and help others. Growing up in a poor home and having to rely on passing a test to even be able to have a chance in a decent college. I studied hard everyday but couldn't seem to grasp the idea and remember anything. I was almost on the brink of failing the class but by a miracle I was able to bring my grades up just enough to be able to take the test. Landing myself an internship at a hospital with the money I was earning from the internship and my side job I was able to move into a decent apartment. Two years after moving out I was contacted by a caseworker telling me that my parents have been detained for child abuse and illegal substance abuse. I was take care of my siblings Charles who was 6 and Shaylee who was 5. One week later, I obtained full custody of my siblings. I was able to find a good daycare that was open during my outside of home working hours.
Luckily, I found a job that would allow me to stay at home and work. The bad part was I was not able to find time to study causing my grades to decrease. After one to many tardies I was soon laid off of my first job. My money soon decreased and I was struggling to support my siblings and pay rent. My aunt decided to cease this opportunity and bring me to court and argue to have custody, her being the only person I had trusted to turn to and went against my back, I had no one left. After, many pleas to the court I was given a month to bring up my grades and money before they made a final decision.
Later, I found myself ranting in the children's section of a library.
