Chapter 55: Akira's new found Strength

Takuya ran towards Akira at full speed with a kunai in his hand as he struck it towards her neck, only to be greeted by a wooden log in her place.

"A substitution justu," He commented, looking around for the real Akira.

"You looking for me, green?" Akira asked, making Takuya turn behind him.

He then spotted Akira holding a wire of kunai and wrapped it around him as she tightened the hold on him, cutting his skin slightly.

"How do you like the kunai? Still think you can beat me?" She asked, smiling.

"Oh, this is nothing," Takuya mocked, grunting as he attempted to break free from the hold Akira had on him with her kunai.

"You definitely seem to have more strength than your brother," Akira commented."But I'm not going down with a fight!" She exclaimed with a smile.

"My little brother might have lost easily to the shark, but I'm not losing to some red hair female," He said as he tried to break free from the wire.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that," Akira said as a clone of her suddenly appeared from behind him, making quick hand signs.

She then released a powerful gust of wind, sending Takuya flying back and hitting the ground hard, causing the kunai to be cut deeper into his skin.

"Akira, show him not to underestimate a female ninja!" Kaito cheered.

Akira glanced at Kaito and smiled at his cheering for her.

"So you had a clone prepare to attack me once I was in your trap," Takuya said as he broke free of the wires holding his side, seeing a hit of blood on his shirt, "I admit you got me, but a bit of bleeding isn't going to stop me," He said looking at his side as he stood on up.

"I didn't plan to that to take you down that easily; just a warning not to call me weak," Akira said with a smirk throwing shuriken at Takuya.

"We see who the weak one is," He commented, making hand signs as a thick thorn wall formed before him, blocking the shuriken from hitting him."Now try and counter this," He said as he made more hand signs and vines appear in the ground, trying to wrap around Akira when she suddenly again turned into a puff of smoke.

'A clone, so of she, the clone, and the one who had the wires are gone. That means the real one is somewhere else.' He thought, looking around for the real Akira.

"That's right, Akira doesn't let him get you that easily," Kei smiled, impressed with her female teammate's development over the month of training.

"I spent a month training o lose Kei easily," Akira said as she appeared above Takuya making hand signs.

Akira then opened her mouth, and a ball of orange flames straight for Takuya, creating a massive cloud of home, making it difficult to see what had happened to him.

"Fire Style, I thought she only knew wind style, but maybe her sensei for the month discovered she had more than one chakra nature," Kaito said, surprised by the use of fire style justu.

"I guess so, anyway. Do you know what his name was? Her sensei had red hair like her but a different shade," Kei said, looking over at Kaito.

"If you're wondering if he's an Uzumaki, don't know for sure," Kaito said."I know his name is Kensei and that they met in the Anbu when she was a member before deciding to become a Jounin sensei."

"Hm," Kei hummed as she turned her attention back to the arena to see the smoke clearing up and. Takuya was on his knees, breathing heavily, and had scorch marks on his shirt.

"Impressive power, but I'm not done yet," He said, slowly starting to get on back up from the ground, breathing heavily.

"Still got some fight left in you, I see," Akira smiled, watching Takuya get up off the ground and started making hand signs the best he could and creating sharp flower-shaped shuriken.

"You give up; you barely have the strength to stand up, let alone keep fighting the match," Akira commented, making hand signs as she fired a blast of wind from her mouth, knocking away the incoming shuriken.

"No, I'm not done yet!" He exclaimed, charging towards Akira sluggishly.

"Give up already!" Akira commanded blocking the incoming kunai and punching him in the stomach, knocking him onto the ground.

"Ugh," He groaned, trying to get up from the ground only to pass on out from exhaustion and blood loss from his side wound.

Genma walked over to Takuya and turned him over to see his side was bleeding badly."This one has had it. The winner is Akira Uzumaki!" He announced.

"Yes, easy to go, Akira!" Kaito cheered.

"That was a wonderful match, Aki," Kei said, smiling at her teammate's win.

Akira looked at her opponent as the medics came and carried him away to be treated. She then started to make her way back up to her teammates were smiling at her cheering.

"Akira, you were great out there," Kaito said soon as Akira made it back up the stairs.

"Thanks, I wasn't going to lose after a whole month of training," Akira said with a giant smile at his compliment.

"Agree your new fire style just was amazing," Kei agreed.

"Kensei-sensei taught it to me. He told me that I seem like I could have fire-style chakra due to my sometimes firey personality," Akira replied.

"Alright now, time for the next match, Kei Misaki and Ren Tamekaze, both of you; come on down!" Genma announced the candidates for the next match.

"Well, looks like it's my turn now, and surprisingly, the Uchiha is still not here," Kei commented, walking towards the stairs.

"Kei, you can do it!" Naruto cheered loudly.

"The idiot, right you beat that Ren girl!" Kaito agreed.

"Don't worry, I plan on winning," Kei smiled, walking down the stairs sparing a glance at Gaara, who was watching her.

'Gaara can't wait to show you how much I have grown over the years.' She thought, heading down the stairs and arriving on the field to see her opponent Ren looking at her with a smirk.

"Let the match begin!" Genma announced once both candidates were on the field.

"I hope you're ready to lose you, Crystal snake," Ren smirked.

"My name is Kei."

"Oh, but we both know there is more to you than you know," Ren commented."I see it looking into your eyes."

"Enough talk about things you don't know," Kei said with narrow eyes wondering what Ren knew about her.

"Oh, sorry, eyes bring up a topic you don't like to discuss, snake?" Ren mocked.

"Shut it. I don't know what you think you know about me!" Kei snapped, making hand signs.
