Somewhere in New York City at night...
A cat quickly ran out as fast as it could from a grocery store, sprinting with stolen food in its maw as a cashier ran after it while yelling. The cat was very peckish and hasn't eaten in four days, and due to this, the cat was getting more frail due to it's running, making the cats abdomen rumble a tumultuous growling noise, except more clamorous and rapid.
The cat lured the cashier outside the city, but the cashier was starting to catch up. The cat quickly got an idea and acted fast.
The feline ran to it's right, where there was a street that had ton of traffic and cars honking their horns and quickly jumped onto one of the car roofs and jumped to another, and another, like it was doing an obstacle course. When the cat got to the end of the street from the other side, it calmed down, and walked to an alleyway knowing the cashier couldn't run after it anymore, and the cashier walked back to the store very pissed.
The cat continued in the paltry alleyway and found their owners, making the cat happy to see them, but still weary. The owner was pleased to see their cat and gave out a smile to the cat.
"Good girl, Nora! I was starting to get worried! I was able to get more cat food and treats for you!"
The feline, who's name revealed Nora, sat next to their owner after dropping the food in their maw as the owner placed cat food on the tier and Nora quickly started to eat. The owner just sighed and stared at the bright white moon.
"I hate stealing so much, and I know you do too, Nora, but we don't have a choice. We have been like this for two weeks, but it already feels like we've been like this for years. I know it's been hard since, but if we still have each other, I promise everything's gonna be fine."
The owner picked up the food Nora had brought them and took a bite before looking at Nora and locking eyes with her green, emerald eyes and then smiling, to which Nora also responded back with.
"Hey Nora, I found this cool place not that far from that has a perfect view of the sky. Wanna sit there for a little before going to sleep?"
Nora gave their owner a happy meow as a "Yes" and their owner got up and walked up to a long rusty ladder, picking up a dirty backpack next to it and before looking at Nora, they put it on their shoulders.
Nora quickly ran into the owners arms when they dropped to the floor and the owner scooped up Nora and put her in the backpack and started climbing. The owner got the the top end of the ladder and was on top of a very rangy hotel building and started running as Nora's head popped out of the backpack and was enjoying the zephyr.
Not that long after, the owner was on top of a mountain and placed their backpack on the turf and Nora jumped out from the backpack and looked forward to see the big moon and the stars in the midnight sky. The moon was so big from their view, it was almost like it was right in front of the two. Nora sat down on the owners lap and the owner started petting the cat's head, making it purr while the both look at the moon in silence.
Breaking the silence after two minutes, the owner looks down at their cat and Nova looks up to look at its owner as well.
"If you like it here, I can take you here every night when I get the chance if you want," the owner smiles. The cat meows and the owner knew it meant that Nora would really love that.
Just then, a shooting star came crashing in the sky. The two made a wish and continued to stargaze.
Twenty minutes after stargazing, the owner and Nora went back to the alleyway and the owner cuddled Nora into their arms on the floor and after a few seconds of saying good night to each other, their vision were blocked off by their eyelids. Just when they were about to fall asleep...
