She was beautiful. She already had the emerald eyes of her father and right now they were wide awake, staring right at me. I couldn't believe that me and Harry could produce such a beautiful little girl.
Both our families had been in to see her yesterday, as soon as she was born, and now there were only three more very important people she had yet to meet; her uncles.
Right now I was alone in the hospital room with only my little girl for company. Harry had gone out to get us both a drink and something to eat but he would be back shortly.
I could only hear the soft breathing of the tiny infant laying beside me. I bent down, wrapping my hands around her little waist and holding her in my arms. I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and whispered, 'Mummy loves you angel.'
Once again, I got so caught up in her mesmerizing presence that I didn't hear the door click open and my husband walk into the room. I jumped slightly as he placed his hand on my shoulder. I gave him a loving smile as he moved a stray strand of hair from my face.
"Sorry to interrupt you Sweetheart but there are three eagerly awaiting uncles stood right outside." I sighed slightly, sounding a bit more disappointed than I had intended. Of course I loved the boys, I was just really enjoying a little bit of alone time with m new daughter.
" I'm sorry Love, I know you're tired Baby, I've just never seen them this excited before." Harry said, his eyes flickering between mine. I gently shook my head,
"No, no it's fine. Just please ask them to be quiet. I've just got her back to sleep and I could really do with it staying that way for a little while longer."
"Of course." he mumbled against my hair, whilst placing a delicate kiss to the top of my head.
"I'll be right back", he whispered, before moving swiftly back out the door.
As we were left alone once again, I looked down at my little princess,
"Are you ready to meet the three most important men in your life? Apart from your Daddy, of course!" As if on que, Harry walked back into the room, although this time not alone. There were three pairs of feet all shuffling behind him, trying to see the little girl in my arms. The first one to talk was Louis,
"(Y/N), how are you love? How's the baby?"
"We're good, we're really good" I replied, flashing him a smile before glancing at Harry, him throwing me a wink.
Liam slowly approached me - it was funny to see boys of their nature acting so gentle and delicate. He placed his hand on top of her head, stroking his thumb across her soft hair.
"She's beautiful guys, you've done well" he chuckled, offering me and Harry a wide smile before quickly turning his attention back towards my little angel.
I looked up briefly, noticing Niall stood quite awkwardly, smiling when he needed to.
"Hey Ni, do you want to hold her?"
"No, no honestly, I'm fine thanks"
"Niall, you won't break her it's okay" Harry said with a smile, patting his friend on the back, nodding his head in my direction,
Niall took tentative steps forward until he reached my bedside. I swung my legs over the side of the bed, slowly standing up. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Harry's concerned face - he was worried whether I should be out of bed or not.
I looked up at Niall smiling, he had his hands out, ready to take the sleeping baby from my arms.
"Angel, this is your Uncle Niall." I said quietly passing her across to him.
I sat back down on the bed, Harry watching my every move, until all eyes were averted back to the sweet Irishman.
"Oh, she's so perfect" he whispered, just staring at her tiny face, playing with her little fingers,
"She's so perfect" he repeated to himself and I could see the glisten of tears threatening to leak from his eyes.
"Isn't she." Harry spoke from across the room causing the rest of us to giggle.
"Hello beautiful, I'm your Uncle Niall and between me, your Mummy and Daddy and your other uncles, you will be the most loved little girl on this planet" He whispered, placing a long but loving kiss to her forehead.
