Sweat of Happiness
Drenched in the sweat of happiness,
I am overcome by a stickiness that persists,
Yet, amidst the dampness, a goodness springs,
A sweet surrender to the moment, as the wind sings. In the bustling crowd, we play and chase,
With a frenzied energy, we jostle and race,
Our faces beam with the smell-sun of joy,
A red-hot flame that fills up every void.We taunt and tease the vendors with such ease,
And snatch their wares with reckless glee,
"Red, run," I cry, urging us to leave,
Bread in our hands, we run, laughing, carefree. The wind whips against us, the sun beats down,
Yet, we continue to run, until we're both found,
In those minutes of freedom, we find pure bliss,
For running is our reward, nothing to miss. Our breaths come in gasps, like dogs panting for air,
Tired and exhausted, but still with hearts so rare,
We rest in our favorite oasis of green,
The wind refreshing and stimulating, a playful scene. We sit and settle down, our bodies now tired,
Wiping away the sweat that has us mired,
My black shirt is soaked through and through,
Red tries to dry the sweat from me and you.We rest and enjoy, in this peaceful embrace,
Lying in the dust, with no care, just space,
For in this friendship, I have found a light so bright,
That shines a path through the darkness and into the night.A bond unbreakable, a love that will never fade,
Red, my friend, my joy, my eternal shade,
And so, we bask in the glow of our companionship,
Drenched in the sweat of happiness, our hearts forever equipped.================================
