The lost interns

The briefing

Eventually, after time and time of running fast, Alexis reaches the briefing room. He recognises the other units, Archer, Sandstorm, Horsemen, and Shard. Shard was closer to Alexis, because Alexis and Shard are brothers. In fact shard's name is Howell. Eventually, someone came from a door. That's the commander, who will do the mission briefing. If Alexis and the others don't listen, dismissal will occur. The commander begins to talk, standing in front of the 5 units.

"To all units who have been sent here by me, this is not a test. This mission is serious. If you don't listen to me, you'll get dismissed on the spot. Any questions before we begin?"

Horsemen raises his hand.

"Yes, Horsemen?"

"What will this mission consist in? Is it a rescue, assault, research mission, or?..."

"If you listen, you'll find out. Any more questions?"

No hands up anymore.

"Good. Let's begin. You 5 have been sent here to look for 3 interns. These scientists were experimenting before the breach and now you 5 have been chosen to go with this mission. The main task force will be the highest rank among you five...Camo, step ahead please."

Alexis (Camo) steps ahead, holding his hands behind his back.

"Because you are the highest rank among them, which is Lieutenant, you are gonna be the main commander of this operation. You have 4 lives on your responsibility. Don't make them lose their life. Especially your brother."

"Yes sir. I promise to be worth, careful, and sharp eyed Just as you want me to be. I'll command my troops like a strategist and I promise to make them go through this operation without any bruises that can cause death. For research and for the good of humanity, I will make sure to find these interns with all of my will. And I won't fail my mission. I promise, for I have given trust upon the Laminax corporation."

"Alright. Now, go back to the line."

"Yes sir."

Camo heads next to the others, now on attention, with his arms perfectly glued to his sides.

"The operation will begin in 50 minutes. You can take your time before beginning the search. Dismissed."

All of the units dismiss and scatter around the facility, all of them sitting on a table in the cafeteria. They discuss.

Archer said: "So this is our first mission, eh? Aren't you all excited, Camo, Shard, Horsemen and Sandstorm?"

Horsemen replied: "Archer, this is no time for this type of speech. Be formal. We are looking for scientists, not random people. Scientists are literally the most important component of the facility."

Sandstorm adds himself: "Yeah, but...are we really ready for this? We're going in a facility with the 90% of the creatures being Panther gootraxes, the most hostile ones!"

Then Shard said: "I just want to finish this mission with my brother. If one of us dies, who will go ahead? If you die, Sandstorm...who will have the bravery to continue?..."

Finally, Camo, closes the discussion with: "Everyone, listen calm down, no need to get this tense. I will be careful with all of you, and if I fail it's on me. I promise I will end this mission safely."

Everyone nods.
After some time between eating, joking and talking, 48 minutes pass, and they all decide to move to the lockers. As they all prepare themselves, their faces look rather tense and nervous for the mission.
Everyone now leaves the facility, going to the abandoned facility to find these interns. What will happen...will they make it, or will they perish?
