Chapter 113|Love makes your weak

Huang Dewei was sitting on the wooden bench in the front yard of his house as he watched kids playing outside in the street.  Huang Dewei heard those kids' laughter reaching his ear as he looked out the glass bottle from the pocket and looked at it. He sighed. It had been three days since Huang Dewei came to his parent's house yet he was still unable to gain the courage to take the pill.

It was a small pill which will take a second to swallow but what he will lose in return was something huge. His hands kept shaking every time he tried taking the pills. He felt worse after coming here...on top, he had started missing Wang Lei as well. He wonders what he must be doing at this moment.

Wang Lei closed away the file as he sighed and looked outside. The flowers were blooming back as it was the start of Spring yet again but he did not like those flowers at all...he was missing someone's presence... the presence of someone with whom he spend his last spring...he was missing Huang Dewei but he does not want to force him back after he saw him crying. He wanted him to stay as long as he wanted at his parents and take some time off from the palace and its toxic people. Wang Lei smile upon remembering Huang Dewei when there was a small knock on his door as the door was opened and Feng Zhi entered inside with an old man behind him. They both greeted him.

'I met this old man outside he said he needed to talk to you about something important.' Feng Zhi said as he introduced the old man confused while Wang Lei nodded his head

'What is that you wanted to talk to me about?' Wang Lei asked in a serious tone as he questioned the old man. Wang Lei had never seen that old man. He was an old man with long white hair, big eyes, and wrinkles on his face yet his body was strong and muscular.

'It is a private matter.'  The old man said as he looked at Feng Zhi and Wang Lei also looked at Feng Zhi who looked between them and then realised that he should probably go and leave them. He was about to speak but Wang Lei spoke before him.

'You can talk in front of him. He is my trusted man.' Wang Lei said in a confident tone and Feng Zhi felt proud of his words as he smile while staying still in his place.

'Well, I am immortal the last human who is left in the human world. I can do pearl magic.' The old man started off as he introducing himself and Wang Lei and Feng Zhi was taken aback by his words and his purpose for coming here. They looked at each other and shared a gaze of confusion between each other.

'What is your purpose for coming here?' Wang Lei asked straightforwardly

'Some month back your concubine Huang Dewei came to me.' The old man said next and that catch both Wang Lei and Feng Zhi's attention. Wang Lei was surprised looking at him to continue as he felt uneasy feeling developing inside him. Then he remembered his words about pearl magic to Huang Dewei.

'Why did he go to you and what did he ask from you?' Wang Lei asked with his heart rapidly beating inside him.

'He came to me and asked me to do pearl magic on him to make him pregnant with your child.' The old man said dropping the bomb on their heads and Wang Lei froze in his place.

'What? That is something dangerous...'  Wang Lei whispered shocked as he felt unable to think of anything. He thought after their last conversation as much as Huang Dewei was mad at him, he accepted his decision and decided to move on, but he was doing something completely different behind his back

'What did you do next? That is not allowed to happen as that can bring destruction to human and magic worlds so I am assuming you rejected him, right?' Feng Zhi quickly asked taking over from Wang Lei as he realised he was not in a condition to say anything.

'He said Emperor gave him permission and since Emperor and his love news had been spread all over the nation I thought Emperor had probably lost his mind and wanted him to bear his child since we all know he is insanely in love with his male concubine.' The old man said and after realising he had used lost to describe Wang Lei he bit his lips. He realised he should not have said that as it was disrespectful. He thought Wang Lei will get angry but he looked at him with fearful eyes and seem shocked in his own world.
