It all started back in 2017 I was young, only 18 and dad brought me to my first race. I had a crush on Max and my dad knew it he spoke to Max I didn't know this at the time and he told him not to date me, but Max didn't listen. We went on a date and had a great time this lead to us going out partying a lot as we were both young and travelling the world. Dad gave me a job in marketing and I had fun filming with Max and Daniel.

Things didn't last long with Max the first time so I won't waste time telling you about that instead we'll move on to where dad broke us up.

Christian "y/n this thing with Max, it stops now or you can find your own job"
Y/n "I didn't know you wanted me to have no friends"
Christian shows you a picture that was taken of you and max in a club that weekend "you have lied to me long enough and I've let it slide now end it or I will"
Y/n "I don't see what the problem is, I though you liked Max"
Christian "I do very much as a driver not as my daughter's boyfriend he is too hot headed and I won't let him hurt you because it won't end well"
Y/n "if I end it can we still be friends and you keep out of my relationships from now on"
Christian "deal so long as you make better choices"

This would be a mistake as I would not make better choices but who wants their dad telling them who they can and can't date.
Y/n "Max I have to end things between us romantically dad won't stop he is relentless"
Max "yeah I know he spoke to me too but we can still be friends and let's be honest it's not like we were going to get married and have kids any time soon"
Y/n "very true now let's get this video filmed, Daniel get over here"
Daniel "coming Horner junior"
Y/n "don't call me that please I'm nowhere near as annoying as dad"
Daniel "you mean Horner senior"
Y/n "well he is old enough to be classed as a senior, so yeah, I guess I do"
And yes this nickname would stick.

Don't worry things with Max didn't end there for ever, or long to be truthful we became friends with benefits dad never found that part out well not until now. Did Daniel know at the time, I think so but I can't be sure.

We continue a month after things ended.
Max "clubbing tonight y/n"
Y/n "so long as I get you after as well"
Max "you know Daniel is over there he might hear"
Y/n "are you scared the boss will find out"
Max "yes because he is my boss and your dad that's double bad"
Y/n "really you drive a car at almost 200mph and your scared of a short man named Christian"
Max "well when you put it like that, how about I meet you in your office in 10 minutes"
Y/n "now this is what I'm talking about"

I went to my office and waited for Max who came running in almost 20 minutes later I didn't have much clothes on at this point I got bored waiting for him.
Max "your dad is not stupid he is on to us"
Y/n "come here and stop being so paranoid"
Max however was right in this moment, and my dad tried to come in thankfully Max had locked the door so we had some time.
Christian "y/n I know you're in there and you better be alone, unlock the door"
Y/n "yeah just one minute I'm getting changed I spilt coffee all over myself"
Max hid under the desk which was not ideal as I was wearing a skirt and ended up sitting on my chair at my desk taking to dad for awhile.
Max "now do you believe me he knows I don't know how but he does"
Y/n "I don't even care at this point"
Max "I do but after that view I don't care if he finds out"
Yes the door got locked again and we were in there a while before Daniel knocked on the door looking for both of us.

Daniel "y/n are you in there I've been looking for you and Max we need to get this video filmed"
Max "should I hide again or do we tell him"
Y/n "no don't hide we will just lie say we lost track of time taking"
Max unlocked the door "sorry mate we were talking, didn't realise it had been so long let's get this filmed"
Daniel never asked why the door was locked I think he knew why but as I said, I can't be sure he knew at this point.
Daniel "y/n can you not get us some fun things to film"
Y/n "I'm trying but I don't have much power I'm just the bosses daughter to most of them even though I actually know what the people want to see"

This went on for another two months before one day we didn't lock the door.
Daniel "well that's not what I wanted to see on a Monday morning" he shuts the door back over
Max and I got dressed and opened the door
Y/n "what did you want"
Daniel "okay so we are just going to pretend that never happened, I can do that not like that image is printed in my brain forever"
Max "yeah sorry mate we normally lock the door"
Daniel "okay no more talk of it you were right to just pretend it didn't happen but you both owe me" he would hold me and max to this.
Y/n "and if we refuse to owe you"
Daniel "what would Horner senior say Horner junior"
Y/n "it's not worth it I'm in your debt Daniel use this one thing wisely"
Daniel "I'm going to hold on to it for when I really need it, having the bosses daughter in my debt may come in handy"
It did Daniel and Red Bull reunited in 2023, why he held on to it for that long I will never know but it worked out for him.
