I smoothed my hair and quickly put it in a ponytail. I opened the door. "Hey Alfie." I said. "Um," he stuttered. "I thought you had a shift."
Alfie stood up. "There's something going on with you. Why were you in Berry Lane?"
I'd messed up now. "Okay... I.. was with Felix"
"What? Why?"
"Cause I like him okay!"
"Did you...?" Alfie rubbed his head.
"No...but I did...look it doesn't matter."
"It freaking DOES Zoe!" He yelled and slammed the door on me.
