-Inside the Nayhon's imperial palace throne room-
The Nayhon's throne room was quite spacious and simple.
The long golden velvet carpet, the golden curtains, and the pearl color walls were without a doubt set with a minimalist touch.
So the atmosphere seemed quite relaxing. It was like those places you can perform yoga in peace.
At least that is what Soo-Ae/Daphne thought.
She looked up at the old emperor who had blonde hair and red eyes.
He was a fifty-eight-year-old emperor with a blonde beard and a wide golden velvet cape that had a black and white spot top fur attached near his shoulders.
It was a perfect match for the bottom part of his crown which matched the black and white spotted fur. It was attached at the bottom of his crown which possessed a few colorful jewels.
"You want to what?" (Emperor Esteban, asked)
He scrunched his eyes and asked with a displeased tone as he stared down at her and the duke from his throne chair who rested on top of three stage stairs.
"..." (Soo-Ae/Daphne and Duke Adalwen)
"Mmm" (Esteban)
'Creak'
Chair noises.
The emperor stood up from his throne chair and walked himself down his three steps,
"Step, Step, Step'
Walking.
'Halt'
Stop walking.
Now you could see the emperor's true height.
Compared to how he sat down on the throne he was quite shorter than Duke Adalwen.
Duke Adalwen looked down at the emperor as the emperor glared back at Duke Adalwen.
'Is it wrong to say he looks like a teddy bear?' (Soo-Ae/Daphne's inner thoughts)
In fact, the emperor's attitude looked like an angry bear.
Yet he was still a couple of inches taller than Soo-Ae/Daphne.
This silence was getting kinda off awkward and so Soo-Ae/Daphne was about to speak when Duke Adalwen turn only his side of the face and with a 'don't say a word look.'
'...' (Soo-Ae/Daphne)
'Nod' (Soo-Ae/Daphne)
After her nod, Duke Adalwen's attention turned again to the silent glaring emperor.
He spoke with an indifferent tone, rather it was a tone you should never speak to the emperor.
"You hear me, your majesty, you have heard loud and clear." (Duke Adalwen, said)
Contrary to his indifferent tone any other viewer could see the arrogance of the duke.
"The engagement between my daughter and your son, it ends today." (Duke Adalwen, said)
"..." (Emperor Esteban)
Soo-Ae/Daphne count help but feel a little worried, how could the duke speak like that? No matter if he was a duke at the end of the day he was in the presence of the emperor.
'Is this what he meant by him handling it himself?! How in the...isn't he speaking too rudely to the emperor at this pace-'(Soo-Ae/Daphne's inner thoughts)
Emperor Esteban interrupted her thoughts with his serious tone as he rose his voice.
"Duke Adalwen is this the reason for you to request such a rushed request how dare you?!" (Emperor Esteban, said)
