That afternoon October was feeling terribly ill, her heart was in knots she couldn't even begin to unfold. Her tone of voice crept deeply under her suffocating heart as all she could feel was the undeniable painful visions that kept her mind away from ease. As she studied the small room, her face fell motionless as all emotion crept away from her tear streaked face. The Ill-tempered expression of her father gave her chills down her spine it had happened again that very thought of unpleasantness the mere illusions of her mind playing at bay. Her thoughts cramped up into a tight fold as all she could see was the unsettling "gift" she had been given her whole life to present. Unwilling, and selfish was she to all who participated in watching her little show of life, as she was not supposed to deny the ability to help all before death, and the unknowing eyes she held was what they all wanted yet she never wanted to presume suchlike responsibility. She was to gain the respect of all who passed her. She was sentenced to a life in agony, shut away from all whom set forth eyes upon she who was of no daughter to anyone, anymore. Tears fell down my face as I felt the same way I did before my father tried to get me to use my abilities for his own gain as everyone else did, I felt used, betrayed.. even by my own father.
I'm October Phillips, I live with my father and my mother died last year. I have been forced to sleep up inside this attic after the incidents that occurred last year when my mother passed away, I have been locked up here only allowed to get out for school but directly at three pm he will make sure to come as soon as possible so I don't have time to go anywhere else.
My only hope is to be able to leave some day and do something great. But, I'm only fourteen I have four years until I'm illegally allowed to leave and go on my own.
One night I had enough of this guilt cutting pain and I finally convinced my father to let me study with someone in the school library, and to have the Liberian watch me. Finally I made a run for it, I was gonna escape this town and leave all my doubts away I was starved, I was bruised, and I was gone. My hopes, and dreams shattered. But, I would never let that stop me as I hopped onto the back of a pickup truck where someone was leaving town, I was now near a highway near the road.
My voice muttered clearly as someone looked back upon the many luggage in astonishment when he saw my face peaking up, "Who are you?" He raised a brow in confusion. I sighed lightly as I sat up a bit, "I just wanted to get out of town.." I choked back the last breathe I took as my sighs muffled into my words.
Fluttering, and shining upon his sunken face laid shimmering curls, "May I ask your name? I'm Cody Heavens, now who might you be?" He smiled widely as his hair fluttered in the cool breeze, his rosy cheeks, and plumped lips made his exterior extremely, pleasant. My face pinged back the embarrassed look on my face. I laid back on the rough surface, I climbed up to the empty seat in the front, "May Montgomery." I made something up to make sure he wouldn't try, and return me home.
He smirked rather fondly as his face fell teasing me, "Oh, so you decide to jump into the back of my pickup truck, a stranger, and all you have to say for yourself is that you are a famous celebrity?" His mouth fell into a rapid pace as he laughed at me a tad more and smiled my way, "So I'm not gonna get a name am I?" He whimpered sharply as he pouted like a puppy giving me a teasing glance wondering if he could make me cave in. I chuckled, "Fine but not just yet.." teasing him once more, he looked about and soon I was fast asleep on his shoulder. He parked the pickup truck, and looked at me softly. "I wonder.. where you came from. Because you are one interesting coincidence. It really can't be that you look so damn familiar." He softly patted her head, "How old are you? You can't be out here all by yourself if you look so young.." He sighed worried, as he whispered his last thing, "I will do all I can to protect you at all causes, until I can take you home to your parents." Not knowing who or what lied ahead all he knew was to keep her safe before the time came where he could find her home again, but he really didn't know how far away they were..
