Chapter 4 - Fake Kindness

Dark. You are surrounded by darkness. Not even a bit of light to be seen. Where am I ? What is this place? You questioned yourself. You slowly get up from the place where you are sitting and decided to just walk.

"Reiner? Annie? Berthold ? Where are you guys ? I'm scared ! " , you shout your heart out, trying to find your comrades. But, only silence respond to your call. You walk and walk again. From walking, your movements shift to run. You run and run without direction in the darkness. From your behind, you can hear a sound of someone going after you. You become even more scared , especially when you hear that voice.

"You can't run away from your duty, Warrior. Your duty is to tain that hands of yours with the blood of the island devils. Bring the Founder to us!"

"SHUTTT UPPP!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" , you try to ignore the unknown evil voices, but that nasty voice become even much more closer to you until your movements stops. You can feel that 'thing' lingering around your body. "Love is unnessasary for Eldian like you. Duty is the most important. You don't deserve freedom and happiness. If you wish to do so, fulfill your duty, Warrior! Find the founder, and you will be free!". You try to loose from the grip of the evil unknown voice, but fail. Instead, that thing slowly going inside you and you scream like a mad woman that being possesed.

Your eyes immediately open wide like a fish grasped for air. Sweat dripping down your forehead , your breath heavy. You being greeted by the view of Eren, Oluo and Petra by your side. The three of them are super worried with your conditions. After passed out in Levi's arm, he bring you to your room so you can rest. But not long after that, you keep screaming non-stop, as if you're having a nightmares. You keep screaming 'help me' and 'no, no, no' . This thing rise concern in Levi's squad. You sighed. Am i the load in this team? Yes sure it does.

"(name) , are you okay ?!" , Petra then proceed to wipe your sweat with her handkerchief but then you push her hands away. "DON'T TOUCH ME" . Your eyes turned red again, as if that 'evil thing' didn't want to give you a rest. Oluo feel angry with your actions. He immediately grip your shoulders to wake you up. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU BUT PLEASE TELL US (NAME) ! YOU MUST LET THAT FEELING OUT !". Eren then go by your side too, giving you courage. "That's right, (name) ! Don't keep that feelings to yourself. Let us become your listener! We're friends right?"

That words, it hurts your feelings a bit. These island devils, they cared for me. They are nothing like Marleyan always portrayed in their history books. But, you're an Eldian that born in Marley. You're Warrior. You need to fulfill your duty. Yes, that's right. There's no turning back. Your red eyes slowly back to your old ones. You have regained control a bit over that nasty thing.

"I'm sorry , everyone. I must have caused a lot of troubles. What a shame" you wipe your face, hoping that everything will be okay. You then grab Petra's hand, saying sorry to her for your behaviour. But, you suprise when she hug you instead. "It's okay. Everyone has their own stories that can't be told right? I know it must be hard for you, but I want you to know that everyone in this squad cares for you, even Levi Heicho himself. You don't know how worried he was when you keep screaming in your nightmares. I think, he understand that feelings well" , said Petra. Your eyes widen. Levi, worried about me? Your cheeks slowly red. You remembered all the seducing plans that crumbling apart due to this problems.

"Thanks, Petra. Oluo, I'm sorry for almost ... you know, killing you?" you asked for his forgiveness. If Levi didn't stop you, who knows maybe Oluo already in a grave. As always, Oluo said 'tch' before he starts a word, well he has a habit of copying Levi's style of talking. "I really admit, that demon in you really have a grudge over me". Eren then pat your shoulder. He look into your eyes. "Don't overwork yourself, (name). About the enemies, you don't need to worry. We , Levi squad will defeat them together!"
