uh Genshin oneshots (allxiao)

this fr came to me in a vision uhh not beta read but one of my friends on Genshin did read it so beta read i guess??????

"Xiao, what is this?" Aether asks calmly, gently rubbing circles on the small bump of Xiao's belly. The bump is barely noticeable, but due to the clothes Xiao has on right now and due to his lack of appetite, it's a bit more noticeable. On a night about two months ago, they had done some...questionable things. Xiao searches for an answer, hoping anything he could use as an excuse would come to mind. Aether, being behind him with his face buried in the crook of Xiao's neck, continues to softly massage the small belly bump, occasionally giving soft kisses to Xiao's neck.

"O-oh, it is umm..." Xiao trails off, preferring to stare out the window at the beautiful sunset outside, the yellow and orange of the sky dimming and changing color as time passes by. Aether waits for his answer patiently, gently nipping at the delicate skin of Xiao's neck. He gives Xiao his full attention, never once interrupting his speech as he tries to form an explanation suitable for the situation. One of his arms was wrapped around Xiao's waist loosely, his other hand occupied with rubbing the small bump.

"It is um..." Xiao speaks quietly, tone soft as his face burns bright red, "I..."

"Hm?"

"I am umm..." Xiao's sentence is cut off, his voice barely audible. He doesn't speak again for a while, far too embarrassed to actually tell. "I am certain I have not finished my patrol today!" Xiao quickly mumbles out, teleporting to god knows where (he actually doesn't know) as soon as possible. Aether's hands drop back down to his sides as he lets out a deep sigh, "But you had...ugh. It is fine. I will ask him about it later, I suppose I could go out to the harbor for now..."

Xiao sits on the highest peak of Qingyun. His heart rate was fast and his breathing was quick as he tries to calm himself down from that stressful situation with the space god traveler. He is aware that eventually he would have to come out and face him, Aether would probably come seeking him out in the mountains, seeing as he was the only person (besides Lumine) who wasn't an adeptus that could roam around the entirety of Teyvat freely.

How would he even tell him? Aether is quite unpredictable, there is absolutely no way Xiao could ensure he wouldn't freak out. No way to make sure he wouldn't just leave- no, that...he couldn't do that- he wouldn't do that...right? So then, why does he get such a bad feeling about telling him?

Night falls and Xiao doesn't even notice, far too caught up in his own thoughts to care about what time it is. He doesn't even register the tears that fall down his cheeks, doesn't notice he's shaking, doesn't notice how it starts raining, doesn't realize the lean but strong pair of arms that wrap around him protectively, far too caught up in every thought where telling the man he loves he was pregnant could go so, so wrong. He didn't feel safe telling, far too scared of how Aether would react. Would he react positively? Would he take care of him and make sure his needs are always met, even if that meant going to the ends of Teyvat? On awful nights where he felt like trash and was throwing up, would Aether be there to support him? Would he treat Xiao like he and his child were the most important thing in the world? Or would he kick Xiao to the curb, forcing him to raise his child all alone in the secluded mountains? Or, when his sister came back from exploring the rest of Teyvat (they never split up, Lumine just decided she wanted to finish exploring), would he just flat out leave and never turn back? The risk and unknown of telling him was what he feared. Aether would eventually leave him, he had convinced himself long ago nobody actually ever loved him.

"Xiao, honey? It's raining, I don't want you getting sick at all," A voice from behind Xiao called softly, cautious not to scare the shaking adeptus. Xiao jumped slightly at the sudden noise and quickly began to wipe his tears. He looked behind him to see the beloved traveler hugging him from behind. Then he looked up, realizing it was raining and that he was indeed soaked. Aether wore a face of worry as he gently wiped away the tears still streaming down his beloved yaksha's face, "Don't cry my dear. Here"- Aether hands Xiao his scarf -"I don't want you getting cold or sick.

Aether stands up before scooping Xiao up into his arms and carrying him back home for the night.
