1 year later . .  .

It had surely been a while, time ticked away faster and faster. Lily had finished her high school education with a G.E.D. Though she was relucent of it's promise, she wanted some form accomplishment. Seeing it was the best she could do, and she was happy to have completed her high school education with a loose and slightly questionable manner. Now she can move on with the next step in her life. With a new name and a lot on convincing, Lily had started to accepted the path she had with Patrick. Patrick had changed as time went on and Lily has noticed. She couldn't help but notice them. He had been shut off and defensive about certain topics, or when Lily had tried to ask him "what's wrong" whenever she noticed he seemed a bit off, he would react aggressively. Some times he would get so aggressive he'd frighten Lily and she flinch and step away from him. He'd apologize and she would forgive him. Patrick worked on the weekdays, having the weekends off. It was every now and then Patrick would spend him free time outside the house, Lily would always ask if she could come but he always told her to stay home. it was a few times he's take her out, mostly to grab something to eat or grocery shop with him since he had no idea what to get half the time.

Lily was currently searching for a job, per request of Patrick. He noticed how utterly bored she had gotten staying at home all time and told her she should go and look for a job and that they needed the money.  He'd look through the newspaper helping her search for a job that could possibility accept her. Though there wasn't much available jobs in the town they resided in.

Patrick worked long hours, gone most of the day and when he was home, his hands would never leave Lily's body. She had noticed that he especially really liked watching her, anything she was doing. Weather it was cooking, cleaning, watching TV, eating. Anything and everything. She had no idea why, and she never bothered asking.

Lily was currently in the kitchen, leaning over the counter, looking over the daily newspaper. A glass of orange juice not far away on the counter. She was once again disappointed at the information that were no positions she would want to apply to. She sighed and threw the news paper on the other counter, not bothering to look through any other part of the paper. Patrick walked out from their bedroom, dressed for work. Considering he worked at a music shop, he wore a simple t-shirt and jeans.  Lily grabbed her orange juice and sipped, walking over to the kitchen window and looking out it. She was trying to think of some way to fill her spare time . . . which was all the time. At the moment she just felt useless. She heard Patrick as he walked in and grabbed some breakfast, eating as he walked over to Lily.

"What'ca thinking about, sweets?" he asked. Lily looked away from the window briefly to look at Patrick. She sighed a shrugged.

"Can't find a job" she simply put it. Patrick nodded and looked at the newspaper Lily had thrown on the counter. He set his plate of breakfast down on to the counter so he could properly take a look at the newspaper as he picked it up. He looked through it and scoffed.

"Bullshit" he claimed, Lily eyed him slightly offended.

"Bullshit?" she asked. Patrick nodded and waved the newspaper in the air

" There is bunch of shit you could apply for, if you weren't so picky you'd have a job by now." He told her, throwing the newspaper down a resuming eating his breakfast.

"I am not picky" Lily claimed in defense. Patrick chuckled and nodded along. In his mind she was definitely picky.

"sure, and I'm not a fucking psychopath" he joked. Lily stared at him with a firm stare before huffing out a sigh. She walked over to the newspaper and looked over the available jobs again.
