~👑📝🗡️~Abaddon was resting on one of the many courtyard walls as a crow. The lights refused to bounce off of his black feathers as they blew in the wind. It was the only way he could stall around without the prefects that roamed the halls seeing him. Just then, he was almost blown off the wall as a sudden force came through the hall.
Passing him was a boy with curly brown hair, reaching down his neck as it flopped in the wind. It was Chance, followed by a huffing and puffing Davey. Chance was bolting down the halls at the speed of light as he pumped his arms back and forth. It was honestly impressive how fast he was running. Abaddon looked at them, deciding to follow them, which wasn't hard as you could hear their laughter down the corridors.
Abaddon quickly transformed into a black cat and raced after them. He was hard to spot as the halls were practically dark, apart from the orange hues of the lit torches that warmed up the halls. The two boys paused at the stairwell, and before heading down, they casted a disillusionment charm incase of any suspecting glances.
Abaddon, swiftly behind them, snapped out of his animal form and casted one of his own. Heading down the stairs, the boys sneakily opened the door to the library and slipped inside. Stealthily, Abaddon caught the door before it shut with his hand and shuffled inside with them.
"Avoid the librarian." He heard Chance whisper, he couldn't see him, but he assumed he was pointing out the whereabouts of the worker. Abaddon's eyes darted around, and almost like Chance gave the orders to him directly, Abaddon was now on alert.
"Yeah no shit "avoid the Librarian"." Davey said in a loud whisper, mocking Chance. The sound of a fist conking a skull was heard, followed by an "ow". It got fainter as they walked away.
Abaddon wanted to rip his hair out at how loud they were being. The librarian was at her desk. Lucky for them, the poor old women must have hearing problems to not have heard any of that conversation. Weaving in and out between waist high bookshelves. Abaddon could hear them approach the restricted section causing him to grab his face in perplexion. Why would they need to go in there? Whatever the reason, it was breaking school rules, and Abaddon didn't like it one bit; but something inside him compelled him to follow.
"Alohomora," Davey whispered, flicking his wand at the lock. The lock stayed motionless. Abaddon cringed at his stupidity.
"Must be enchanted," Chance murmured. Abaddon wanted to let out a drawn out sigh from his nose, but knew he couldn't. He couldn't speak at all as it would give him away to the duo. He turned to the librarian, defeated, until his own gears started to turn. Abaddon approached one of the book shelves farther away from the group, on the complete other side of the room.
Merlin, forgive me, He thought. Abaddon grabbed the shelf, and pulled at it. The support of the shelf crumbled after one last tug, topping over on top of him and sending him straight onto the ground. Of course this was loud and noticeable, that was the goal.
The librarian, startled, ran over to the toppled over books. He knew he had freaked out Chance and Davey too. Hurriedly standing, he stepped over the books like he was walking on eggshells. Despite being filled with overwhelming guilt, he hurried past the librarian.
"Oh dear, oh dear." She mumbled with great concern, "I swear if that was Peeves again I'll have Dumbledore do something about that buffoon once and for all." She fumed, hobbling over to the pile of dusty books.
Chance managed to piece it together as his footsteps were heard running to the librarians desk. It looked funny when he grabbed the keys, because they darted through the air. When Chance fumbled with the lock, it quickly snapped open, Davey caught it before it could hit the ground. "Nice one," Chance said,
