Josephine POV
That is it with this big-headed brat! He gave us a lift but I don't care, all he's done so far is tease me about my height. Rilla's short too! But I suppose it's all the 'ninja-elf' privileges. Ugh, it was infuriating listening to them
"I could floor you with a punch" and her then saying she could floor him with less than that. Could you Rilla? No. You'd still need to touch him, punch or kick to floor him. Flooring him with less than a punch would mean using magic. I have magic. I could kill him right now if I wanted too. Although, awkward questions would be awkward. I can mess with him though.
Ok, so admittedly "I'll put your head through a cheese grater!" may not have been the best of comebacks but he doesn't know what he's messing with here. Fleas are terrifying huh? This should be fun.Third Person POV
Josephine was mad. Real mad. After a moments silence she swiftly conjured a small flea and made in sit and wait just next to Thom's foot. She slowly enlarged it until Thom noticed the flea sitting now on his foot due to its enlarged state. What Josephine hadn't known but was pleased to find out was that Thom, who had earlier joked about bugs, was afraid of bugs. Particularly flying ones but fleas could jump and magic fleas? Let's just say that their jumping abilities had been enhanced a little. Just a little. She enlarged the flea again when it had Thom's watchful eye upon it and he uttered a small shriek that he quickly stifled. She enlarged it again and he shuddered. Again and he whimpered. It now had three pairs of eyes on it as Josephine giggled silently in the corner. When it once again enlarged Rilla could not hold back her laughter as Thom let himself go and screamed a very high pitched scream. Annabelle, who knew like Rilla that it was Josephine, was unsure as she despised bugs although she could not deny it was amusing.
"Oh yes, very funny," Thom said to Rilla though his heart was clearly not in the sarcasm. As it enlarged again he yelled, "how is this happening?" This sent all three girls over the edge and they all collapsed into hysterical laughter.
" I have magic," Josephine said trying to hold back her laughter," did we forget to mention it?" She smiled sweetly at Thom. "Would you like me to reduce that flea to its original size?" She said perfectly kindly. And as he nodded vigorously she cackled like a storybook witch. "Well that's just too bad isn't it?" And she enlarged again. "How's that cheese grater seem now?" She jibed as Thom shook in the corner, his eyes following the flea.
Fortunately for him, Annabelle stepped in and in her posh prissy fashion said,
"Now really Josephine, is that the way to treat our ride?" And Josephine sighed reluctantly.
"Fine," she grumbled and the flea was bouncing away in a normal size with a quick flash of her golden eyes before the turned back to their natural colour.
Rilla looked across at Josephine.
"How's that cheese grater seem now? Really?" She asked and Josephine just laughed along with her and said,
"Cheese graters can give serious injuries, proceed with caution when using one," in a pompous accent before giving in to the giggles again and Rilla just rolled her eyes at the tiny, laughing girl who'd be the last one you'd expect to have magic. Thom had learnt the hard way that magic is where you least expect it...
