The Rise of Godzilla tells the origins of this version of Godzilla (JoshuGoji) and is the first book of a trilogy which takes place on the same timeline.
A mother theropod is protecting it's unhatched children in a underground cave. Her bones are broken, her dorsal plates are broken aswell, the once proud roar of the beast turned into a bellowing cry. The mother is weak but strong enough to protect her young for enough time. But there not alone. A pack of dromeaosaurs have entered the underground cave.
The mother theropod hissed and growls at the pack. The dromaeosaurs did the same. It appears no one is risking it. Until one of the dromaeosaur rushes towards the eggs. The mother responds by steeping on the raptor crushing it.
The rest of the pack pouches at the mother theropod. The mother was able to kill 3 of them, the rest escaped and ran off. But one giant dromaeosaur still remains.

Standing twice the size of the rest. He is the alpha determined to get a meal. Ever since the volcano destroyed the plants and the herbivores moved south they have no choice but to eat the weak ones or risk it and eat larger theropods eggs or scavenging rotten Carrions. The alpha charges at the mother. Clawing her face until she was almost blind. the mother responds by bitting the left arm and ripping it. But the alpha dint give up.
The alpha proceeds to bite the mother's neck but instead gets he's Neck bitten by the mother theropod. As a last resort the alpha slit the mother's throat, the mother theropod screams in pain after witch the mother kills the alpha by crushing it's skull. The mother theropod is now dying as a last resort to defending it's unhatched children. The mother theropod covers the nest with mud and the mother last ontop of it so that no one takes its eggs away. The last thing this theropod sees is a bright light from a hole on the top of the cave.
a large star like thing is getting closer and closer and closer the theropod makes her last roar before collapsing dead on the ground.
In space we see a large magnetic asteroid called gorath and smaller ones heading towards earth at a lighting speed. Gorath struck earth Creating tsunamis and earthquakes And the smaller goraths fell down earth exploding and Killing anything getting in the way.
All of the dinosaurs that are not under ground or somewhere where the tsunami can get them. We're killed Some of the active volcanoes erupted Destroying the remaining living beings, nothing can survive gorath.
Times have passed the gorath event has stopped no meteor showers have Been seen, the once blue sky turned into a grey fog, the remaining dinosaurs that survived in the surface suffered and either die from starvation or died from the toxic atmosphere in the surface. The mammals were able to survive and thrive, becoming the new dominant specie's on the planet.
But at the underground some dinosaurs have been hibernating exposed to underground radiation Changing there body's and size. And at the mother theropods nest Only one egg has survived, and it starts to shake.....
