The first thing I remember was a voice.
A soft, feminine voice. It came from every direction at once. Above, behind, inside my head. I wondered if I was the one who spoke. Then I became aware of myself at the thought. My eyes fluttered open, a bright light shone above me. My joints ached like I'd ran a marathon. I was lay on my back, sprawled like a dead bug. I wondered why and how I was there as I tried to rise to my feet. I swayed dangerously and wonder if I'd fell, and that was why I was on the.. Grass? I had observed what I thought had been grass carefully. It looked like grass, but as I had kneeled down and waved my fingers through it, it had felt... off. Somehow. "Weird." I mumbled, looking around again properly. Still, my surroundings had seemed blurred a little. I appeared to have been in a forest, and had a weird feeling that I had been there before.
And then the voice returned to my mind, and that suddenly seemed more important than the surroundings. What had it said again? I hadn't processed it properly when I was on the floor. I decided that if someone had spoken they must still be nearby, so I tried calling out, rotating a little as I went, unsure of the direction of the woman. "Is someone there? What did you say?" For a moment, silence. But then,
"I said, Welcome A, To the Mind Games."
