Fred x Reader

A/n: Y/n thinks that everyone forgot her birthday when no one says anything in the common room. But it hurts her even more when her boyfriend Fred supposedly forgets as well. But she gets a surprise at the end from the love of her life.

Y/n POV

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I turn seventeen today. I quickly got up, got dressed and raced down to the common room. I slept in because it was a Saturday and I wanted to. When I got down there, everyone was down there. I had a huge smile plastered on my face. I sat down in between the twins on the couch as Ron and Harry played chess, with Hermione and Ginny cheering different sides on, while giving some tips as well. Neville is reading a book on plants while Dean and Seamus bug him. I laugh slightly and Fred puts his arm around my shoulders.

"Morning guys." I say to the group, and get a series of heys, mornings, hellos, in return.

"You look cheery today." Hermione points out.

"Yeah. of course I am. Oh, is there anything any of you want to say to me?" I ask, trying not to blurt it out.

"Nice hair?" Harry says, glancing at me then back at the game. My heart sinks. I shake my head.

"No. Do I look different? Maybe, older?" I am trying to give hints.

"Yeah, you look like McGonagall's sister. Is that better?" George comments. I look at him, laugh slightly and shake my head again. They really forgot. My friends forgot my birthday.

"No. Nevermind. I'm gonna take a walk. See ya later." I mumble as I get up and walk out of the common room. I walk down the corridor with my head down. I feel tears sliding down my face. They actually forgot my birthday. Even Fred. My boyfriend forgot. The love of my life forgot my birthday. By now I was sobbing as I made my way out to the courtyard. I sat by a tree, pulled my legs up to my chest and sobbed into them.

Fred POV

I saw the tears starting to pool in her eyes as she got up and walked out. I sat up and got everyone's attention.

"Are we going too far? She looked so broken. I love her and never want to see her hurt. Let's decorate, get the food, presents and everything else. I can't see her hurt anymore." After I said that, we all got to work.

Timeskip

After that was all done, it was about 2:30 or 3 PM. I looked outside to see it started to rain. I started to panic knowing how she likes the outdoors and how she could get caught in the storm. I rushed out and ran down the corridors looking for Y/n.

Y/n POV

I sat there crying when I felt a drop of water fall in my arm. I looked up just as it started to pour down rain. I quickly ran back inside and took the secret way back to my dorm. I dried off and changed into my comfy clothes. I sat on my bed as the tears came back.

Fred POV

I looked everywhere and I couldn't find her. My heart and head was filled with panic as I ran back to the common room. When I entered, Hermione looked at me with a concerned face.

"Did you find her?" She asked and I shook my head and sat on the couch, looking at my special present for her. It was a promise ring that matched mine that I started wearing this morning. We will have been dating for two years in one week for today. I am also giving her a necklace that matches mine for our anniversary. I love her so much and I want her to be happy. I hope she's alright.

Just then, Katie Bell came down and tapped my shoulder.

"You might wanna go check on Y/n. She's in her room." A worried look made its way onto my face.

"Tell everyone where I went. I'm going to get her. Be ready in five or so minutes." I told her. She nodded and I ran up stairs, quickly charming them so they wouldn't turn into a slide. I race upstairs and knock on her door. I hear faint sniffles of tears. I unlock the door and rush in to see her curled up on her bed crying. My heart breaks at the sight. I walk over to her and hold her.

"Happy birthday, princess." I whisper to her. She jolted up and looked at me.

"You remembered?" she whispered. I nod and kiss her. I wiped her tears and helped her sit up.

"I have a big surprise for you, love. Get dressed in some nice clothes. Not that you aren't looking good now, just something that makes you feel happy." I said to her. She smiles and rushes off to the bathroom. When she comes out, I kiss her again. "You look gorgeous, darling." I whisper and kiss her neck slightly. I take her hand and lead her down the stairs. I stop her at the bottom, give everyone the sign to get ready, and then I lead her out.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yells. I see the biggest smile plastered on Y/n's face. The party goes on as I watch the love of my life.
