I'm Jack. Going into ninth grade at a NEW school. Let's just say I'm used to it. I move around a lot. My dad is in the military, always stationed at a new place so...that is why we are always on the go.
I have a bro...oh wait...I don't anymore. I'm an only child. I have a mom, a dad I never see, and a dog, Benny. My mom works a ton. Moving so much really puts a number on your money supply. So I don't see her that often either. But when I do, she is exhausted and falls asleep on the couch.
So I guess you could say it's...been rough.
So I'm starting at a new school, Bayberry High. I'm nervous this time. I'm usually never nervous, because I do this all the time. But this time I am. I heard rumors about this kid. A kid that never talks and has been stuck in eighth grade for a year now.
People call him "The Tard" apparently, and I'm nervous to find out who this kid is. They say he has problems and has severe social anxiety, so I'm scared because well...
I don't know what to expect from this kid. What is he going to do to me?
