Yelling, yelling woke Dee on a pitiful Monday morning. Of course, she wasn't upset at her brother, the source of the voice, but herself for sleeping so late so that she would only get a small 38 minutes of rest — she knew that it definitely was not healthy but who would stop her? — was not the most enjoyable. Another yell came from what Dee would assume to be the kitchen, and her younger brother.
Dan groaned as she sat up, their bare feet touching the cold floor. "Daniella! Lillian!" She once again heard her brother, Michelangelo, yell, but this time, someone yelled back. "Shut up, Miguel!" Lillian, Dee's twin sister, yelled back.
Most people would assume that two twin sisters would be identical, but in-fact they could not be more unalike from a physical perspective. Daniella had a darker skin tone with cooler undertones, while Lillian had more of a tan-ish skin tone with warmer undertones with vitiligo. Dee had brown, somewhat red-ish eyes, and Lillian had blue-gray eyes with her left eye being half brown from partial heterochromia. Lillian looked most like their father, while Dan looking almost nothing like the famous Lou Jitsu. Lillian had dyed golden blonde hair, Dannie had dark brown, almost black hair.
Daniella stood, then started walking towards the door of her room. Soon enough, they opened it to be hit with the pleasant but also disgusting smell of food that made the female's stomach twist. Daniella felt her face make a look of disgust before going back to her normal resting bitch face. She soon started walking toward the kitchen.
"Oh, hey Dannie! How many pancakes would you like?" Mikey asked, looking back with a joyful smile. One that made Daniella fill with a shared joy. "One, please." She said in response to her younger brother. She could see Mikey's smile slightly fall before being replaced with the same joyful smile. "You sure?" The younger asked, "I can make more if you want more. It's not like pancakes are extremely difficult to make." Mikey added. Dan simply frowned a little before responding. "Annoyed sigh, I'm sure Angelo." And with that, Mikey continued to make the pancakes.
Dannie turned around and left the kitchen, taking out their phone and walking to the dinner table, which was in the dining room. She sat in her respective seat next to Mikey's chair. The table could fit six, the perfect amount for the Hamato family. The end seats reserved for April and Master Splinter, as they were the oldest. The left side of the table belonged to Dannie and Mikey. Dannie sat closest to April, and Mikey sat closer to Master Splinter. And the right belongs to Lillian and Raph, Raph sitting across from Mikey.
Raph was already in their seat waiting for someone else to join them and their food. Dannie stayed focused on her phone. The sounds of random TikTok played from Daniella's headphones. She was simply not wanting to talk to people as of this moment. She didn't have the energy, and she probably wouldn't. Raph had been tapping a rhythm that Dannie couldn't recognize.
Daniella watched Mikey come in with 4 plates, one being purple that separated each food section, another being the same thing but red, whilst the last two were plain plastic plates. Mikey put each plate with to their respective owners seat. Daniella stared at her food. Not that it looks gross. No, Mikey was a great cook, but it was Dan's lack of ability to feel hungry enough to eat.
Despite her head yelling at her, Daniella ate half of her pancake. Stopping when she felt she couldn't eat anymore. "I think I might be done. Thank you Angelo, it tasted great." She said, pushing the plate away from herself. No, nope, can't. Her brain screamed while she looked at the food.
"You sure, Dannie? You've barely touched your food." Raph said, concerned for the female. They watched her, a glimpse of hope in his eyes despite knowing Daniella wouldn't eat more if even Mikey begged. And that glimpse of hope made Dannie feel guilty. She really wished she could eat more, but she couldn't, not physically. And if she did, she would have felt so much worse. "I'm sure, Raph. I will try to eat more next time." She said, lying through her teeth.
"You say that every meal..." Mikey mumbled into his hand, seeming to zone off into the endless universe that was his imagination. Of course, Mikey would be the one who would catch Daniella's lie. Despite any act he wanted to put up, Mikey was always the most observant of the family.
Dannie didn't respond. Instead, she just walked off (not before pushing in her chair, she wasn't uncivil). More conversing was unwanted to the female, like how the sound of people chewing was unwanted.
Daniella went to her room, entering once she reached the door. "Tired sigh. I'm going back to sleep." She mumbled to herself before falling face first onto her bed. Falling asleep roughly 7 minutes after impact.
