It is a Monday, which means school. Her mom warns her about the time, that she has to get up, but she just can't. She couldn't remember her dream, all she remembered was seeing a deep orange sunset. She remembered last night, before she went to bed, how she felt like someone was waiting to attack. Because of her empty closet dream, one of the meanings said to watch out for robbers, for attackers. She thought of her water bottle, that it could be used as a weapon, so she looked for it - she couldn't find it. This anxiety came to her, that maybe the attacker took it for themselves to hit her on the head with. She looked downstairs, in the bathroom, then remembered where she had put it. The window. The same window where the drone came in, where her shadow self was.
She then looks toward her window, and remembers her dream. This feeling. This anxiety. This feeling of numbness. Is that how her shadow feels? She gets up, puts a shirt on, her hair is messy, her eyes are dull, her shoulders are slouched and her aura is cold. She goes downstairs to eating eggs for breakfast, made by her mom.
"I can't sleep." she tells her mom.
"Are you feeling nervous about something?" her mother asks.
"No"
"Are you scared about school? Or other things you want to accomplish?"
"No"
"Its just," she pauses, "I had some dreams and they mean that I have unresolved issues with myself." Her mother didn't like this kind of stuff, she thought that if you think positive, anything will dissipate, her daughter however thought the opposite.
"I know what it is, I just tried it before and I just can't get over it." she says frustratedly.
"I can't help you, you know how I feel about shadow work." her mother replies.
The girl eats her eggs in sorrow. Once she is done, she puts her plate in the sink and sits back down. Her mother leaves the kitchen to go take care of her grandmother who is very ill. The girl cries alone, in the kitchen. Feeling so helpless. She feels a big stone wall in front of her, with her shadow self disappointed in her. This wall she has tried to climb before, but it didn't work.
She gets up from the chair and finds her mom.
"Should I stay home from school today, I need to solve this."
"You know how I feel about school, it's your choice."
Choices were never her strength.
"I can't pick you up from the first two classes."
"I don't wanna do that anyways."
"Okay, so you want me to call the school?"
"yeah."
"You have to solve this thing though, okay?"
The girl nods, she is staying home today. She texts her friend to tell her that she will not be present today.
She begins to write...
