Chapter 8: A Second Chance at Love

After weeks of recovery, Lee Joo Young was finally ready to be discharged from the hospital. Before leaving, she requested to meet the team of doctors who had saved her life. Dr Park, Dr Kim, Dr Go, and Dr Jang all came to see her.

She was sitting on her hospital bed, dressed in her regular clothes, waiting for her discharge papers to be processed. Dr Park, Dr Kim, Dr Go, and Dr Chinhae entered the room.
She was grateful to them and thanked each one of them.

Dr Park smiled warmly at her. "Congratulations, Miss Lee. You have made an excellent recovery. We're so happy to see you leaving the hospital."

She smiled back. "Thank you so much, Doctor. I owe it all to you and your team."

Dr Kim stepped forward. "We have some instructions for you to follow during your recovery. Make sure you take all your medications on time and don't strain yourself too much. You need to take it easy for a few weeks."

Dr Go chimed in. "Also, make sure you come back for your follow-up appointments. We need to keep an eye on your progress."

Dr Hoon cleared his throat. "Uh, Miss Lee, I don't want to impose, but can I ask for your autograph? My son is a huge fan of yours, and it would mean the world to him."

Lee Joo Young smiled. "Of course, Doctor. I'd be happy to."

Dr Park's expression fell slightly at the sight of Dr Hoon's request, but she quickly composed himself.

"Well, then, we wish you all the best, Miss Lee. Take care of yourself, and don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything," he said, shaking Lee Joo Young's hand.

"Thank you again, Doctors," Lee Joo Young said, smiling at them as she gathered her belongings.

As she walked out of the hospital, she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards the doctors who had saved her life.

She noticed that Dr Park seemed sad. She pulled him aside and asked him what was wrong. He hesitated at first but then finally confessed that he had developed feelings for her while she was in the hospital.

She was surprised but touched by his confession. She explained that she couldn't return his feelings, as she was still in love with Yeonjun. Dr Park accepted her decision but couldn't help feeling a little heartbroken.

As Lee Joo Young was leaving, Dr Park gave her a parting gift - a beautiful bouquet. He wished her all the best in her future endeavours and promised to always be there for her if she needed anything.

The rest of the team also said their goodbyes to her, wishing her a full and speedy recovery. She left the hospital feeling grateful for the team of doctors who had saved her life and touched by the kindness of Dr Park.

After being discharged from the hospital, Lee Joo Young continued her recovery process at home. While she was regaining her memories, she couldn't help but think about Dr Park and how he had saved her life. She began to realize how much he meant to her and that her feelings for him went beyond just gratitude.

One day, as Lee Joo Young was scrolling through her phone, she came across a news article with a headline that caught her eye: "Lee Joo Young Confesses Her Love to Dr Park Through Mysterious Message."

Confused, she clicked on the article and saw a video of herself being interviewed by a news reporter. In the interview, she was asked about her recovery process and how she was feeling. But then, the reporter suddenly asked if she had any message for Dr Park.

Lee Joo Young hesitated for a moment but then took a deep breath and spoke from her heart: "Dr Park, I know we only met because of the accident, but you mean so much to me. You saved my life and helped me recover. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I also want to tell you that...I love you."

After the interview was published, Dr Park couldn't believe what he was seeing. He had never expected Lee Joo Young to have feelings for him, let alone confess her love through the media. He felt a rush of emotions, including joy, disbelief, and a hint of sadness.

The next day, Dr Park went to visit Lee Joo Young at her home. They talked for hours, catching up on everything that had happened since she was discharged. Then, as the sun began to set, Dr Park took a deep breath and looked into Lee Joo Young's eyes.

"I don't know what to say," he began. "I never expected this...but I have to be honest with you. I care about you too, more than you know. You're not just a patient to me, you're someone special."

Lee Joo Young's eyes widened with surprise and delight. She had hoped that Dr Park felt the same way, but hearing it from him was more than she could have ever imagined.

From that day on, Lee Joo Young and Dr Park began a new chapter in their lives. They started dating and fell deeply in love. And although there were challenges and obstacles along the way, they knew that they could overcome anything together, as long as they had each other.
