"Wait!" Koen yelled at the girl marching out of the club.
But the girl took no heed when he called out to her. He wasn't sure if she was deliberately ignoring her or if she just couldn't hear him.Koen fastened his pace, determined to talk to her. And finally, he was a foot away from her. They were completely outside the club this time and were trodding at the club's parking space.
"I said wait!" He gritted his teeth and pulled her elbow to stop her from walking.
The girl turned to him with her brows knitted together, glaring at him, and her nose flaring up. "What?" She hissed. Apparently, she was looking so pissed, making him wonder why.
"Don't just what me, miss." He told her, deliberately imitating her line to him earlier that day.
The girl crossed her hands across her chest and quirked her brows up sarcastically. "What do you need from me? As far as I'm concerned, you were being unreasonably arrogant and rude to me this morning, so what's with all the fuss of chasing me until here?" A visible hint of annoyance in her voice reached his ears.
"Whoa... slow down, miss. Is that how you thank someone who just saved you?" He asked her, crossing his arms across his chest as well.
Koen's brows furrowed when the girl suddenly let out an impish smile while her unfazed gaze remained on him.
"Why is it that you, men, always think that women need saving all the time?" She began, obviously catching him off guard. It was an answer he didn't expect at all!
He opened his mouth to complain, but the girl gestured for him to stop.
"I'm not yet done, Mr. Trying to be a Knight in Armor." The girl said it in a dangerously calm tone. "You came out of nowhere and tried playing a chivalrous hero for a 'weak' girl like me." She added while raising her fingers in a quote sign when she uttered the weak word.
Then she began circling around him, raising her brows at him. "I need you to stop thinking that all women want to be saved. I don't. I can handle that man, and I don't appreciate you acting like a knight so suddenly and even lying that I'm your girlfriend! So tell me, why would I thank you?" Iritado nitong sabi kay Koen.
Galit nga talaga siya.
Koen tried to smile to calm her down. "I'm so sorry, miss, if my intentions were misinterpreted by you. However, believe me, I just really wanted to help you at that time. You can't expect me to watch that man almost slap you, of course, I need to do something about it." He tried to explain to the girl in front of him na matatalim pa rin ang tingin sa kanya.
"Oh please, spare me with your egotistical excuses! Nung nasa library tayo, you were being downright rude to me, tas nung marami na ang tao, you were suddenly saying that you can't help seeing a girl fighting a man? Ano yun? Biglang switch-up ng personality kasi malaki ang crowd?" Sarkastiko nitong sumbat sa kanya.
So this is where her outburst is coming from? Koen's mind raced when he finally realized where her hatred for him came from.
Paano ko sasabihin sa kanya that the way I acted in the library was because of a fckng dream?
Koen raised his hands in the air. "Okay, I'm sorry, miss. I admit I was being rude to you. I know there was no excuse for my behavior towards you this morning, I just really had a bad time." He tried explaining again.
He saw her clenching her jaw before she growled at him again. "So you mean, you vent out your frustrations to other people instead of dealing with them yourself? Kasalanan ko pa na bad trip ka ng time na yun?"
Gustong ihilamos ni Koen ang mga kamay sa mukha niya. The girl was straight-up stubborn and was completely twisting his words! It would take her forever to understand what he meant.
Now, I regret saving her! Fck that illusion, there was no way the girl in my dream was her.
"Fine, I'm sorry, okay? My friends were right, I should've just stayed in my seat and just let that man slap you!"
But, they were completely different. Mahinahon ang mysterious girl sa panaginip niya, habang ang babaeng nasa harapan niya ay mapagkakamalan mong isang leon sa pagiging maldita.
"See? Lumabas din ang totoong intentions mo! You just saved me to feed your overblown ego and so you could shove your sense of entitlement right in front of my face!" Sigaw nito sa kanya na nanggagalaiti.
Koen couldn't help but heave a sigh. What do I need to do for her to stop twisting my words? Ugh, women.
He even wanted to roll his eyes but restrained himself from doing so. Baka maging tigre pa'to bigla.
"I'm really sorry, miss. I was just really trying to talk to you kaya sinundan kita. If only I had known na ganito pala kalala ang galit mo sa'kin dahil sa inasta ko sayo this morning, then I probably should've stayed with my friends in the club. Anyway, I'll just go back inside, and you can just forget what happened tonight." He told her and began pacing back to the club.
"Who told you, you can go now? I'm not yet done!"
Koen halted his pace at mariing napapikit ng marinig ang boses ng babae and the clanking of her heels against the cemented road.
What does she want now? He groaned inwardly and turned around to see that she was in front of him already.
Koen tried to smile, but his smile faded instantly when the girl kicked him between the legs without any warning.
"That's for you, asshole." She said, and immediately walked away.Koen was left groaning painfully while clutching his harmed balls. Fck! What's wrong with her?
"Bro, what did you do? Bakit nagalit sayo yung matapang na chicks?"
Mariing napapikit si Koen ng marinig ang nangangantyaw na boses ni Alex sa likod niya.
