Dragons and humans used to be enemies until one human took an egg and bonded with the dragon that hatched from it.
Since then, this humans bloodline became known as the dragon riders, and parents put dragon eggs in the cradles with their newborn children so they'd be bonded at the beginning, when the child and dragon young. Some got a dragon when they were older, but nevertheless, they still bonded with one.
These people were also known as royalty, and as dragon-riders, because of their dragons.
Their bloodline now rule a place called Essos, surrounded by the blood sea.
Around the land of Essos, there are groups of dragon-hunters and dragon slayers, and they want to take down the royal dragon bloodline. Some tales float around that the dragon-slayers and hunters actually bond with a dragon and use them against the royals.. Though it is said to be very, VERY rare..
Be you a dragon, royal dragon rider, non-royal, a royal with no dragon(yet), or even a dragon-slayer/hunter, you can join the adventure.
