Unknown daughter

Chapter One: Welcome to the 118!

Caitlyn woke up to her alarm going off. The time was 6 am, she had an hour before her first shift at the 118. She was excited to say the least. Partly excited to be a firefighter, and mostly excited to meet her biological father. She grew up not knowing him. Her mother always told her it was a one night stand, until she turned 18, and then she had no choice but to tell her daughter about her father. Mother is Jessica Anderson and father is Robert Nash.

For the longest time, she researched about her father. He was from Minnesota, of course. He was married and had two children, all whom died in a fire. After that, he transferred to Los Angeles and started his new job as Captain of the 118.

About a half hour later, she was ready for the day. She was excited but nervous at the same time. Worried he wouldn't want to know her. She gets in her car and heads to the station. About ten minutes later, she arrives at the 118.

She parks her car and walks in. She's greeted by a tall man with blonde hair and a birthmark over his eyebrow. He's cute, she thought. "Hi my name is Caitlyn Anderson, I'm the new probie. I'm looking for Captain Nash." I tell him. "Oh cool! My name is Evan, but everyone calls me Buck. I'll take you to him." He says.

We head up the stairs and Buck introduces us. "Bobby, new probie named Caitlyn Anderson is here. Caitlyn this is Bobby." Captain Nash looks like he'd seen a ghost. "Hi nice to meet you Captain Nash!" I say and shake his hand. "Nice to meet you as well and call me Bobby." He says. "Do I know you from somewhere?" He asks.

I decided to wait and tell him later in private. "Umm, I don't think so, I just moved here." She says. "Oh cool! Where from?" Buck asks curiously. "Minnesota." I tell them. "Oh really me too. Which part?" Bobby asks. "St. Paul." I tell him. "Oh wow really so is Bobby!" Buck says.

"Here let me introduce you to the team!" Buck says. "This is Hen, Chimney, and Eddie. Everyone this is our new recruit, Caitlyn!" "Oh finally, I'm not the only woman on the team!" Hen says as she hugs me. I smile and hug her back. "Why do they call you Chimney?" I ask him. Everyone laughs and says "long story."

The bell rings and they all head downstairs and load up.

Meanwhile, Captain Nash thinks Caitlyn looks really familiar. Unbeknownst to him, she was his daughter. He puts the feeling aside for now as they head to the scene.
