She didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't this. Storms, huge waves and sand. So much sand. It all got in her eyes, her mask didn't even help. Na'veya hated this with her whole black heart. Lo'ak had his family to rely on, Na'veya didn't have anybody she was all alone right now, not even able to hear a slight sound of anybody's voice. Na'veya was flying above the Sully's, miles away from them. They wouldn't be able to see her in any way possible.

Lo'ak was terribly worried about the girl. He couldn't look at her, that would raise suspicion. He couldn't express that he was worried, that would raise suspicion. He couldn't make a sound to show that he was worried for her, that would raise suspicion. Literally everything he could possibly do would give away the fact that there's a girl following them to the end of the planet.

Neteyam did notice how restless he was, constantly looking around and trying to catch a glimpse of the girl following them.

Neteyam didn't agree in any way with her tagging along. One of Lo'ak's "incredibly clever" ideas. But mostly, he didn't understand why she actually did it. Didn't she have anybody? Was she absolutely alone? Why was she all alone? These were all terrible red flags and of course Lo'ak decided to ignore them. One pretty girl finds him interesting and the boy can't even focus anymore. Neteyam didn't know the girl at all, even less than Lo'ak, but he didn't know what to think of her. On the one hand he found it sad how she was all alone but on the other— it just reeks of trouble.

After hours upon hours of flying, Na'veya felt a wave of relief as she finally saw land. The dark blue waters slowly turned a more clear kind of blueish green. She couldn't wait to feel the warm ground underneath her cold feet.

She'd been sweating profusely for the past two hours, scorching away underneath the burning hot sun. Funnily enough her feet stayed icy cold. Which gave her a very interesting sensation she couldn't necessarily describe.

The family circled around an island, indicating that they'd land soon. Na'veya had to fly straight down as fast as she could to prevent them from seeing her dive into the jungle behind their little huts. She got hit by leaves, branches and probably all kinds of bugs when she reached the jungle. She flopped off her ikran, laying down on the ground and stretching out. She was so happy to finally feel the ground underneath her.

It would probably take a while before Lo'ak got to her, he had to look for her first and he would probably get a tour of the village as well. So this meant she just had to wait for Eywa knows how long.

Wait, what if they don't get accepted into the clan? What if she saw them fly away on their ikran and doesn't have enough time to catch up? She'd be lost. Stranded on this island.

Na'veya kept her eyes on the sky for hours. It didn't seem like they were leaving anytime soon. It started to become dark already and Na'veya still hadn't heard from Lo'ak. She was getting hungry, lucky for her she had her arrows right here. Na'veya grabbed her bow and arrows out of the large satchel on the side of her ikran's back.

As Na'veya wanted to go deeper into the jungle to find some food, Lo'ak jumped from beside her.

She aimed her bow at him, almost shooting before she realized who it was.

'Calm down, it's me.' Lo'ak said, a smile on his face. 'I'm so happy you're okay.'

'How are the people?' Na'veya asked. If any of them gave Lo'ak a hard time, she'll put an arrow right between their eyes.

Lo'ak rolled his eyes. 'The usual. I have demon blood apparently.'

Na'veya raised her head, visibly getting angrier. Her ears twitched as the grip on her bow strengthened.

'It's okay, Na'veya. It's nothing I'm not used to.' He muttered underneath his breath.

She frowned, looking up at him. He was used to this? That means he's been called this more often?

'Anyways,' Lo'ak tried to change the subject. 'I brought food!' He lifted the little pocket up in his hands to show her.

Na'veya was getting so worked up that she didn't even realize he was holding something. He's too sweet. 'Thank you.' He handed the pocket of food to her and sat down on a log. Na'veya looked at him as she took a bite. 'Aren't your parents wondering where you are?' She asked him.

Lo'ak shook his head. 'I don't think they mind. This place is as safe as can be. They probably think I'm sulking around somewhere.'

Na'veya joined him on the log, chomping down the remainder of her food.

He was just admiring her, biting his lip to prevent a laugh from coming out. She must be hungry. 'The island is beautiful though, I would love to show it to you.' Lo'ak lowered his head. 'But I probably can't. We'll have to wait some time before you can come out of hiding. I hope you don't mind.'

Na'veya stopped eating and looked at him. 'Lo'ak, I've been alone practically my whole life. I can handle a few months.' She didn't have a choice. As long as she doesn't tell Lo'ak who she is, she can't show her face anywhere.

'Woah— I wasn't talking about months. I'm not letting you stay out here that long.' Lo'ak told her, quickly getting the idea out of her head.

She still had no idea how to tell him. Or when to tell him. Or if she should tell him at all. She didn't want to but she knew she couldn't keep this secret to herself anymore. People would eventually find out either way if she was planning on staying here.

Everybody would resent her, probably wanting to banish her from the island. She was death, wether she liked it or not.

But too bad for them, nothing could keep her away from Lo'ak anymore.
