"It's such a beautiful day!" The strawberry-red haired teenager exclaimed as she stood next to the ocean with her toes in the sand. She was wearing a violet ruffled bikini with a short swim skirt. Suddenly she felt someone's hands cover her eyes. "Guess who?" A voice asked from behind her. Emily giggled and removed the hands from over her eyes. "Hello Koga-kun! Are you going surfing?" She asked, hoping that he would say yes. She loved to watch him surf. It put her mind at ease. "Yeah. But I'm not going alone today." He said with a grin. Emily looked around. "Oh, is one of your friends here?" She asked. Koga shook his head and handed her a surfboard. "M-Me? But I don't know how to surf!" Emily said frantically. Koga smiled and winked. "I'll teach you, okay?" He said. Emily blushed and nodded. "Let's go!" She grabbed his hand and headed for the ocean.
"This is so much fun!" Emily giggled. She had finally gotten the hang of it after several failed attempts. She smiled at Koga and he smiled back. She Suddenly a huge wave swept over her and she fell off the surfboard. She felt as if she was being pulled under by something strong. She tried to change into her mermaid form but for some reason, she couldn't. She tried to scream for help but it was no use. She felt lightheaded and looked down. At the bottom of the ocean stood Hotaru, the queen of the dark kingdom at the bottom of the Antarctic ocean. She was controlling the water to pull Emily downwards. Emily couldn't hold her breath any longer. She blacked out.
