Boom

Layla yelped in fear as the heard the loud noise coming from outside.

Layla hates thunderstorms especially when the lights go out.

Flicker flicker

"Oh god dammit!" Layla yelled as the lights went out. She cuddling herself into the blanket more wishing there was someone to confort her.

Layla hated thunderstorms as a kid but even as a young adult living on her own, they scared her to the core.

She watched as a flash of light struck outside. Her eyes watering in fear.

She grabbed her earphones and her phone and play music as loud as they could go in hopes that it could drown out the loud noises.

She hid her face in her blanket trying to concentrate on the music.

On the other hand

Sam franticly jumped into his car not giving one shit about the thunderstorm.

He tried to start his car but it wasn't start. His only hope was to run.

He hoped out of his car and dashed out of the driveway in the direction he needed to go.

"Shit shit shit" Sam mumbled to himself running through the puddles of water.

"Almost there" he mumbled again to him self.

A few minutes later he arrived to Laylas house drenched in rain water. He franticly opened the door with his key and ran inside.

Sam was the only person besides Laylas family that knew about her fear of thunderstorm. He knew that the would usually cause her panic attacks.

So ever since she moved to her new house she would drive over to Sams and stay with him until the storm was over.

But her car was getting fixed so she couldn't get to his appartement.

Sam heard Layla crying in her room so he went there.

He went into her closet and took out a pair of shorts and a tank that he left at Laylas house. He quickly changed out of his wet clothes and jumped into Laylas bed hugging her closely to his chest rubbing her back trying to calm her down.

"Shh it's ok I'm here" he whisper as Layla wrapped her arms around his waist hugging him as close as she could.

Sam rested his head on hers and continued to rub cercles on her back and waited until she stopped crying.

He hated situations like these cause he never knew if she was gonna be fine or not.

Layla slowly calmed down as Sam stroked her hair gently.

"It's ok I'm here" he repeated.
Layla listened to Sams heart beat slowly dozing off.

"Thank you Sam" she said and cuddled him closer, Sam planted a kiss on her forehead as she finally fell asleep.
