Tsukasa pov

I wanted to be near him, I wanted him to stay with me, but I couldn't.

Just because of that stupid thing, he can't stay near me ever again. I don't even know if I'll be cured. I don't even think there IS a cure.

I couldn't bear seeing him, so I just asked him to leave.

"Rui, don't you have class? You should go. I know I'm sick right now, but I'll be fine, don't worry."

He simply stood up and left. I wonder if he thinks I'm pushing him away because I don't like him...

Rui pov

'I knew there would be no point in staying there with him. He's even more distant than before.'

I was frustrated. Not at him. I would rather say that I was mad at the situation that made him this way.

I entered my classroom. The class had already started. I sat to my desk and tried to concentrate, when in reality, there was only one thing on my mind: Tsukasa.

I wanted the class to end as quickly as possible so I could go see him after school.

Finally, the bell rang. I stood up as fast as I could and ran towards the nurse's office.

"Rui? What are you doing?" Nene was at her locker when she saw me sprinting and panicked.

"Oh, hi Nene! I'm just going to see Tsukasa!"

"You can't. He had another crisis when we were in class, and they had to take him to the hospital."

Huh?

What? The hospital? How did Nene know that? And is it really that bad?...

Tsukasa pov

*cough cough* "Where am I?"

I woke up in a hospital room.

"Hello, young man." The doctor said. He was sitting next to me. He probably was waiting for me to wake up.

"Doctor, what happened...?"

"You had a crisis, and you fell unconscious. The nurse had to call the hospital on you."

Oh. I didn't think it was that serious.

The last thing I remember was me in the nurse's office. Right after Rui left, I felt a sharp pain in my lungs again, and I started to vomit flowers, then I fell unconscious.

"We do have some.. bad news for you, young man. "

"What? What do you mean by bad news?" I said with a trembling voice.

"You have what you call 'hanahaki disease'. It's a disease that forms when love isn't reciprocal."

So that's... that's why I was like that around Rui... it's because I'm in love with him...

But he doesn't love me back, does he?
