Chapter 4

It's been one month since my birthday and Hunter and I were becoming closer each day. From small hugs, to calling each other sweet names and kissing here and then.. he also found out about my parents

~Flashback~
Today was a hot day so I decided on a pair of leggings and a red top, but I couldn't go met Hunter like that because he would see my bruises so I put on a sweater despite the heat outside.
As I reach our place, I find Hunter sitting under the tree as usual and go next to him. Once I was at an arm distance, he pulled me in one of his sweet hugs but because of the terrible beating I got the day before, I flinch away. Oh shit, I think he noticed. I tried to act as if nothing happened but as soon as I saw the concern in his eyes ,I turnt away.
"Astéri what happened?" Seeing as I didn't respond, he gently grabbed my arm , but unfortunately, it was the bruised one. Noticing my small whimper, he started rolling up my sweater sleeves
"OH GOD! Astéri, who did this to you?" He asked with a pained voice . Still not responding, he took my chin in between his fingers forcing me to look at him
"Please, baby girl " he begged her, tears streaming in his eyes . At the sight of him,I wanted to crawl into a ball and die. I didn't want to see him sad and especially not crying
"You know you can trust me" and I did trust him, so I told him everything. Who would have known this could be so reliving.?
~End of Flashback~
He was so understanding and offered me comfort. I still don't know how I can feel so safe just being in his presence, but who cares, right?
Since he found out, everything seemed to get better. Sure, I still got my almost everyday beating but with him taking me in his arms and whispering sweet nothings in my ear, it all seems to go away and I couldn't be asking for more.
